We liked this site, it's quite small, an extension of the owner's garden really. Mrs. Read is a friendly helpful lady who sells her surplus garden produce, courgettes 5p each, what's not to like? Wild mushrooms pop up in August and very nice too.
Approach the site from the first turning right after you have passed between the 2 broads at Rollesby, then it's easy. The last bits of road are narrow but not very long. If you are not towing, you can turn right into Back Lane and then right at the main road which will take you to Martham. There is a Co-op right in the centre, easily missed as it's a right turn diectly after the t-junction. There is a garage a couple of miles north on the A149. There is a car boot sale in the summer on Rollesby playing field, at the end of the footpath, right out of the white gate at the back of the site.
We preferred the coast to the Broads, as you can't really get near them for the reeds. Go to Horsey and see the seals particularly. If you are into boats, there is a boatyard at Martham, go up the A149, turn right, just past another Co-op, turn left and keep going until you get to the River Thurne.
The only gripes are that we found it difficult to get a Sky tv signal, managed it in the end. Also the tap and CWD are near the owner's house and not on the site itself, not a huge problem really.
Price is £12 per night which is ok.

Site is set well off the main A149 near the end of a cul-de-sac which makes for a very quiet location. Site owner is very helpful.
Pitching area measures very approximately 50m x 50m, is level, well drained, sheltered on all sides and has two simple hard standings. Water and chemical waste disposal are a short distance away at the owner’s house. Other than EHU, there are no other facilities, so own sanitation is essential.
Very dog friendly as there is nice dog walk on the footpath that runs directly from the pitching area.
Nearest provisions can be got in Martham. We found the Planet Spice Indian restaurant in Ormesby St Margaret to be excellent, but were a little disappointed by the food at the Thai Jasminia restaurant nearby on the main A149.
To sum up: Cowtrott is what CLs/CSs are all about, even with 15cm of snow in the middle of January!
