Very pleasant well maintained site. Nice pitches on gravel.

Modern shower block but it appears only cold water to the hand basins.

Pizza made on site €7. 50 and wine on sale at €5. 00.

The only downside is that the site is next to the N18 and despite it being a single carriageway each way it is very busy and noisy as the cars speed by.

This is a beautiful campsite in a beautiful region. Sanitary facilities excellent, lovely owner. But it is next to a very busy road ( which was probably worse as it was VERY hot when we stayed, so we needed windows and the the roof open, and it was a weekend). We had hoped to stay longer but the road noise meant we moved on. The only other negative was that the swimming pool could do with a bit of TLC and was rather slippery due to a coating of algae ( but it was unusually hot, and it was late in the season). Very good value for an out of season stay.

Stayed here for three weeks and found the site to be well run with an exceptionally clean and tidy toilet block, great dog walks through the cork trees, owner extremely helpful with taxis and local information.

Perfect for visiting Evora and Estremoz.

Definitely one of the best in Portugal

Stayed for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. On arrival we rang the bell beside the reception to get Siboe's attention who quickly checked us in. He gave us a really useful information sheet with details of the site and surrounding area which we appreciated after a long drive. We pitched on a gravelled area with views across a cork plantation. Lovely small pool which we often had to ourselves. Had trips out to Evora, also Estremoz and Evoramonte, but it was also relaxing to swim, chat to fellow campers. Nice clean showers, washing machine a reasonable €3. 50. Hope to return sometime. Road noise is the only negative but it was quieter during the night.

If you a looking for a small, clean, friendly, family-run, campsite in the heart of the rolling Alentejo countryside, with shady cork trees and modern facilities, including a pool, then this is the site to visit.

Easy drive to Evora or Elvas for world Heritage sites.

Helpful information from owner Siboe including places to visit and eat.

I agree completely with the earlier reviews. Water in the showers is heated by solar panels so unlikely to get shaving hot but good temperature for showers.

A true gem. Still €11 per night. Nearby restaurant (ask Siboe) - 3 course plus olives and lovely bread with pitcher of wine - €19 - delicious and plenty of it!

Site is worth more than 10/10

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way back from the Algarve, good place for a stopover. From Lagos in SW Portugal took just less than 4 hours using the toll roads, with virtually no traffic on a Friday.

The site is at the side of the N18 between Evora Monte and Estremoz. The site is set on 2 levels, one on the same level as the reception which has about 12 pitches and the level going up the hill at the back of reception to a flat field where there about another 10 pitches and a barbecue area. There are trees all through the park, but the pitches are all flat with, stone chippings as a base, and EHU. On some pitches you might need a long electrical connector. The pitches vary in size from medium to very large, water is located throughout the park, and the chemical disposal is located at the the Motorhome disposal point.

The facilities are very good, with toilets and showers, being cleaned regularly, Siboe the owner is very obliging and can't do enough for you. Every weds and Saturday Siboe organises a happy hour, where all the people on site get together on the reception patio, and have drinks and something to eat, which they bring themselves and then enjoy a social chit chat. The Saturday we were there, the happy hour started at 17. 00 and was still going at 19. 30 with one or two worse for wear, but all enjoying themselves.

The town of Estremoz is a lovely old walled town, and well worth a visit, also there are several large supermarkets and also a large new Lidl. Bread can be ordered daily at reception, and also any info. Required about the local area is also available there.

For dog owners or walkers there is an 8 km walk directly from the top of the campsite which goes through the fields and cork trees on flat farm tracks, which means dogs can run free as long as no farm animals are about, maps are supplied in reception.

This site is a little gem, the cost with 16 amp electric, for 2 adults, a dog and caravan is only 11 euros a night, and if you want to stop for longer in the low season, I believe Siboe said it was 185 euros a month plus elec. If you are travelling down to the Algarve, this site is worth trying and I don't think you will be disappointed. I spoke to a number of people on site, who said they originally were only going to stop for a night, but all of them had stopped longer.

Oh and nearly forgot, the wi-fi is free, my only gripe was that the water for the sinks in the gents, didn't seem to get warm, so had to shave in the van. The scenery around the site is also very green and beautiful. The site also has a small swimming pool, and trampoline, but I don't think it would be ideal for children, but who knows.

This is a fabulous little site for exploring the Alentejo region. A couple of miles past Evoramonte, its on the side of the road so you can't miss it.

Site is Dutch run, facilities are immaculate good showers, plenty of hot water, chem disposal, motorohome water dump, fresh water and ehu. Clothes and dish washing facilities - also a washing machine €3. 50 for a 7 kilo load. There is a swimming pool on site twice a week they have a get together for a drink / chat. Fresh bread is available daily.

For a camper + 2 adults the cost is €8 - total bargain. Electric is charged either at €3 per night or you can pay on metre - we did and it worked out less than €1 per night.

We found the site well placed for visiting Evora (bus stopped right outside campsite). Evoramonte was a few miles away and Estremoz 12 km away, well worth visiting these amazing hill top towns. The town of Redondo is 20 minutes away and has over 30 potteries, most towns have good markets which are also worth visiting.

Overall this site is really hard to fault - I guess its proximity to the road may put some people off but we didn't find traffic noise intrusive and during the night road was very quiet.

This is a really well run, friendly and well placed site, would highly recommend and we will be visiting again.
