 Large, busy site set at a decent outdoor pool.
Pitches are tightly packed in and it’s noisy when busy.
Friendly staff and good facilities.
Short walk to Echternach, which is lovely.
Good canoeing on the river.

Our 6th time on this site, and we keep coming back. An acquired taste though we think. The facilities are only okay, but the location is lovely especially if you have a river pitch. Echternacherbrucke is is Germany, but Echternacht just over the bridge at the end of the site is one of Luxembourg's prettiest towns. Gets very busy in high season when the Dutch descend in numbers! Friendly staff, but some very tight corners if you're a large unit.

We spent a week here, was very busy when we arrived and some pitches seemed a bit cramped, ours was just enough to get our folding camper with awning and a sunshade with the car squeezed on front. You can book bigger pitches and the riverside ones are pretty. This is a lovely site though, toilets and showers pretty clean, one shower block was on a timer and a set temperature, was just enough time to shampoo and condition if you don't mess around, if you get timed out you have to wait a few minutes before it will restart! The other shower block you could set your own temperature and was a push button that was a lot shorter time but you could just press again. The outdoor pools are lovely, there is a toddler pool, a play pool and a deeper pool. Very welcome when the temperature hit 37° whilst we were there. You can also paddle in the river which is shallow and very clear by the site, great fun with a rubber ring as they have stones across which directs the water into a good flow. You can hire canoes 12km up the river and canoe back to the site. There is a supermarket and bakery within a couple of minutes walk and plenty of restaurants in the very pretty Luxembourg side of the river, some expensive and some very reasonable. The on site takeaway was good too. The site has a mix of permanent set ups and holiday makers, it was very popular with Dutch campers, we only saw two other English campers. It was mainly quiet at night. The reception team spoke good English but not in the takeaway but not a problem as hand signals work well! Would definitely stay here again, it is a very pretty area.

Spent two nights at this excellent site.
Location
Situated overlooking the small and picturesque town of Echternach, this large site provides a good base for exploring Petit Suisse, or Little Switzerland. The town is nice, with a relaxed atmosphere and nice restaurants. Great walks to a local gorge from the site.
Facilities
Dated but clean and tidy facilities. Very family oriented with swimming pool etc.
Value for Money
€20 per night
Highly recommended!
