Had a fantastic holiday at this campsite. Site is beautiful and very close to amazing scenery. It has a small river running along side the campsite, just about enough for some fishing if you like catching tiddlers.
It was a very good base camp to be able to go off and explore the locality and beyond with Falaise just down the road. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, as we had a very large tent. They had good local knowledge with a good breadth of local activities for us to try.
We went to a medieval fair at Falaise castle. Visited a cheese factory. We went to the stunning La Roche d'Oëtre and had some very scary fun at the Acropark. It was an easy place to be able to do day trips to Bayeux and the Normandy beaches.
Toilets and showers were good and very clean. The toilets were basic and you need to bring your own toilet paper. They did have hot water to hand for washing and good area for washing up. They have some area for shaving with plugs and lights.
Our daughter loved that there was a donkey and goat on the site that she could visit and even had the chance to feed with one of the owners.

The narrow lane down (and I mean down) to this campsite looks challenging but is easier than you'd think. Don't be put off because once you get there you will find a lovely tranquil site. Pitches by the river are lovely but if you want to be near a water tap then pitch as close to the sanitary block as possible as these taps seem few and far between. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and very basic items available to buy from office. The nearby town of Falaise was fascinating to look round.

The campsite is at the end of a narrow lane, but when you get there it is lovely, pitched next to the river, able to let beer bottles cool in the flowing water. The toilet block is uni-sex so to are the showers. Lovely hot showers. Spotlessly clean. There is a large open camping field with an open fire in the middle set out for people to met and talk in the warm evenings.
There is a lovely walk from the site to the Roche d'Oetre, takes a pleasant couple of hours through the woods. Falaise (birthplace of William 1) is not too far away- 10km. Good centre to see the WW2 sights.
The only site we found where wifi though payable could be accessed from within the caravan.

A lovely site in a small valley right next to a small shallow river that pleasantly swept over rocks. The sound of the river was a lovely counter to the cries of the overhead buzzards. Lovely tourist villages on the River Orne meant idyllic walks.
Large pitches (awnings free), with 16A power and water stands near to every pitch. Some ten pitches in total meant booking is recommended but the tranquillity more than compensates for the lack of a bar on site. Toilets and shower block was always spotless with facilities for disabled people (not needed). A large field provided playground facilities along with boules, a bouncy castle, archery but the river provided ample play areas for all the kids.
Highly recommended as nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly hosts. Excellent value for money when compared to some of the other sites in the area.
