 Let me preface this review by saying that we have been regular visitors to this site since 1982!
Some years ago new owners took over the site and did a decent job of refurbishing the toilet/shower blocks. Most of the pitches are quite large but they are quite soft and after rain can be 'difficult'! There are lots of trees and large outfits may find access to some pitches difficult. There is a basic pool, shop, restaurant and entertainment area.
Over recent years we have noticed a distinct deterioration in the upkeep of the place, cleaning and general maintenance, upkeep of roads and levelling of pitches and grass cutting for example.
The site has 4 stars but really only warrants 3 as a maximum. There is a kiddie club based in a tatty old caravan on the edge of a field used by dog walkers. The 'animateur' is somewhat unreliable - observed to be late, non even turning up and smoking!
This year the owner rather inadvisedly booked in a Colonie de Vacance throughout July and to mid August - this was noisy and poorly supervised with disco until 10. 30pm and frequent noise/chatter until 2. 30 in the morning. I would advise anybody thinking of booking to enquire whether this would be repeated in future.
We know several people who use the site year on year who have decided enough enough and are moving on. We will not be returning either.
The site is potentially very good given more care and attention by the owner who seems to be complacent and doesn't listen to complaints.
