Our second visit to the pods because we liked it so much the first time. This time we took our 2 children aged 11 and 8.
Spotlessly clean again and another warm welcome.
We took one pod and the kids took the other - they loved it.
The weather was much warmer and it was the height of harvest season. Our first night was somewhat disturbed by night time combining - not the owners fault.
Shower/toilet area scrupulously clean.
Washing up/fridge area scrupulously clean
Complimentary tea and coffee (mugs and spoons) provided.
As the weather was kinder we made more use of the garden area including the bbq and chimnea (fuel provided)
Gazebos were also supplied and had been erected.
This time we visited the Owl Sanctuary (also red squirrels and meerkats) and took the kids to Sutton Hoo.
I would really recommend this place for
The novelty of sleeping in a pod.
A base to explore the local area.
If you have kids 5yrs or older
Friendly welcome - nothing too much trouble.
One thing that would improve the side would be to gate the garden/pod area from the car stand and road so that parents with younger children could relax.
2 adults stayed in the wooden pod over a long weekend Friday to Sunday evening.
Warmly welcomed by the owners and found the pod to be very comfy - carpeted + lamp, heater and torch provided. As seasoned campers we had brought our own plates and cutlery. There is a neat little wash up room/fridge and shower/toilet block just to the side and with only 2 pods on site it was very private and peaceful.
The beautiful tudor wool town of Lavenham is a short drive or longer walk away. We also ventured out to Flatford Mill (Constable's Haywain)and to Bury St Edmunds.
We really enjoyed our stay so much so that we booked for later that summer and took our 2 kids.
Only downside - the 2 pods are quite close together which wasn't a problem for us as the sole occupants.
There is also a lane behind the pods with the odd speedy car breaking the silence.
