I ended up phoning the campsite to make a booking, left a message and had a call straight back.
Pay via bank transfer or cash on arrival. Large field and can camp anywhere if no ehu. I had ehu.
Owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. Facilities are basic and dated but clean and plenty of hot water for washing up and showering. One shower and two toilets for the ladies, I assume same for men.
St Austell has plenty of shops and food places and usual retail parks, and Charlestown harbour is a lovely tourist spot with crafts, museums and places to eat.
Located up a hill gives lovely views of the sea.

Further to review left by Sherry. The owners do not have a dog! I think if you'd checked you would find that it belonged to the people in 'sunny corner' the house at the bottom left hand corner of the field it came over a few times while we stayed and my husband handed it back to them. We enjoyed our stay sadly Hilary and her husband plan to retire at the end of this year very sad as we'd loved to have visited again

We have visited this site twice and love it. It is a lovely big flat field. We prefer to pitch on the far side of the field away from the hook up as you are in full sun for most of the day and the evening. The facilities are adequate and kept very clean. Access to the site is good and clearly marked. We followed the directions given and found it quite easily even in the dark.
The site is very well situated for St Austell, The Eden Project & Heligan.
The only criticism we had, was the owners dog seems to wander around the field without supervision and was seen to occasionally leave large piles of pooh that weren't picked up.
