I almost don’t want to leave a review as I don’t want this site to get too popular! It’s basic, nothing fancy and the farmer leaves you alone unless you call him. In fact, I had to ring him to remind him we hadn’t paid!
If peace and quiet is your thing, this site is for you. If you want a bar, fancy showers
And takeaway food, you’ll hate it, there’s none of that going on.
We were a group of small families in 2 Caravans and a tent. Because of coronavirus, we were self contained for toilets and washing, we used the electric hook up and waste disposal. The farmer gave us our own area where seasonal pitches were previously, but they hadn’t returned due to coronavirus so their loss was very much our gain as we had lots of room to set up and play games!
Walked into Tissington which is chocolate box pretty. If we’d have been there longer we would have explored more as it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Very cheap price per pitch.
Just be careful of the sharp turn getting into the gate as our friends have a big caravan and struggled a bit, but the farmer helped guide them in.
We’ll be back!

I have just returned from a 1 night stay at this Caravan Site with my partner and daughter. The owner Jean was very welcoming and we had a lovely stay.
The site is a field on a farm which had around 10 or so Caravans on when we stayed. It has electric hook ups, waste disposal and fresh water which is all you need really! The location is brilliant.
The farm is just off the main road from Asbourne to Buxton, so it's easy to get to, but then far enough down the farm lane to not be disturbed by the road. Good base for seeing some of the many attractions in and around Ashbourne, and very close to Carsington Water, Tissington Trail and Ilam.
We broke down just as we were about to leave and had to wait for the recovery man to come and fix us but there is no rush to leave the park which is great as it's so hard to be ready and packed by 12pm.
Would like to return one day!
