What a gem of a site! A lovely open pitching area behind Newry Grange house with a choice of hardstanding ( probably essential in wet weather) and grass pitching surrounded by mature gardens.
An adjacent field for a dog to run off the lead was a bonus!
Very handy for the North Wales Expressway - which you can hear at busy times. How much of an issue that is probably depends on where you live, but as it runs right along the coast I think its probably difficult to avoid.
But back to the good points - 10 minutes from a huge Tesco and an excellent caravan dealer/ shop and just off the North Wales Expressway so easy to get around.
Very handy for Conwy, Llandudno and all the smaller towns on the North Wales coast, with their fabulous beaches. We got lovely weather which was a bonus but this site would be perfect any time of year.
No toilets (or chickens) but an emptying point so you do need your own facilities. This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club certified location - but well worth the joining fee to be able to access this site in a part of Wales where there are lots of sites full of static vans but few decent touring sites.

This is one of the best CSs you will find. The owner is very helpful and the site is always kept to a high standard.
Peaceful, beautiful views with chickens running around. What more could you ask for.

We booked this as we're going to a golf event at Maesdu golf club for the week. We don't need lots of facilities and this fitted the bill completely. Neil the owner was charming and very approachable. We arrived on the Monday and stayed until Saturday.
The site itself is at the top of a small road that could be a bit problematic if you're towing a large caravan but for us in our motorhome it was fine. We were advised to arrive after 1pm as it means anyone leaving would be gone by then so less chance of meeting on the approach road.
The site is so pretty, (just a few units ) nicely maintained, very quiet. Owner has two dogs who are delightful, not noisy or nuisance. There are free range chickens about too but shut away overnight so they are no bother either.
The toilets are one ladies and one gents with wash basin ( they are rather shabby chic but do the job ) there is easy access to water and recycling and chemical toilet emptying. No shower so be prepared to go back to old fashioned sink wash or use your caravan/motorhome facilities Grey waste goes on the plants which makes perfect sense
It's about a 15 minute walk down to the estuary in Llandudno junction and the rspb nature reserve which is good to walk dogs along. From there there is a link path from the nature reserve to Conwy and Deganwy (I did both - approx 7 miles return distance each) approx 10 mins max drive to Llandudno itself which is charming if not full of more elderly people 😏 Lots of facilities, shopping, etc there lovely old Victorian pier and Alice in wonderland trail
I would stay here again in a heartbeat! In fact planning another non golf orientated trip next year!

My description of Newry Grange would be 'HEAVEN' This site is a must if you enjoy peace and quiet.
No showers but it has a lovely clean toilet block.
The site is so pretty. We were in the owners garden and it is so well maintained with wonderful views. Being a 5 van only on such a large site ensured so much space.
We were very late arriving due to traffic problems, however the owner was there to see us to our pitch, and was as happy to see us as we were to see him.
We spent three nights here but. WE WILL BE BACK!
