We have used this site several times as it is fairly close to home. It is an excellent, relaxed, smallish private site. It is flat and based over 3 ‘fields’.

It has quite a few static vans but mainly touring pitches. It has two toilet / shower blocks which are always clean.

The site owner is friendly and helpful. There are excellent dog walks/walking from the site - straight into woods or along roads/footpaths to Colyton, Seaton and Beer.

The site is very quiet, minimum road noise.

Probably more suited to older people as no play park but plenty of space for children to play.

Stayed here for 4 nights for August bank holiday weekend. This is a charming, simple camp site. It is mostly grass pitches over 3 ’fields’ which are completely flat. There are two toilet/shower blocks. Both are spotlessly clean - one had recently been updated and has underfloor heating. There is also a laundry area and reception/ shop. Prices are very reasonable at £18 per night. Seasonal pitches and caravan storage are also available. The owner is particularly pleasant, relaxed and helpful. It was not a problem that we needed to stay on site later into the afternoon due to a commitment. This was really appreciated. This site is very quiet. There is no road noise, however access to the site is very easy. The village of Beer in 2 miles away on the coast and Seaton is approx 5 miles. Inland, Colyton is about 2. 5 miles away. The site welcomes dogs. There is a dog walk/field on site and access to adjoining woodland. There was no extra charge for our dog. There is no play area for children but the site is open and spacious and do there is plants of room to ride bikes and play.

This site is caravan or motorhome only, well kept and clean and tidy. It has a roomy layout with units distributed around the outside of 2 widish fields. This means that all vans have an open field in front, rather than another caravan too close. We liked this.

The toilet blocks are small, 4 showers and 4 toilets for men, and I presume the same for women, spread between 2 separate blocks. They were kept clean and tidy while we were there.

The nearest shops are about a mile away, at the bottom of a big hill, so if you do go by bike, you need to be pretty fit on the way back.

The wardens were welcoming, efficient and friendly, so we really enjoyed our stay.

No club house, swimming pool or playground etc, so a quiet site, which is ideal for us, but not ideal for everybody I suspect. The wardens have milk eggs and can get morning papers if required, these can be bought from the wardens lodge.
