 We chose this small site for its simplicity and location, near Helford River and The Lizard.
The unisex toilets (2) and showers (2) are very clean and new. We appreciated the hot water for washing up, recycling bins and solar-powered freezer.
There's light car traffic on the lane. It's really near Royal Navy Culdrose, and so we expected helicopter noise during the day. We were unfortunate on our first night to have night flights overhead, which stopped at 1:00. The other nights were not a problem, though. This affects our rating for location, although outside owner's control.
Tom is friendly, helpful and responsive, especially about the fluctuations in shower temperature. He is obviously enjoying running the site and proud of it.
We would return, as the coast and river are lovely. Gweek has a good village shop, pub with takeaway pizza, fish and chips on Wednesdays from a van.
Near Helston which is a large town.
