In the middle of nowhere. Can walk into the village of Longford through the fields or just sit outside in the field relaxing.
£15 a night for an electric pitch.
There's no shower block, it's a pub, but the toilets are accessible 24 hours.
Friendly hosts. Food is good value for money.
This is our 2nd visit here as it is just so relaxing and will continue to return.
Give it a go if you like doing nothing.

We Stopped over last night in this lovely rural setting. The food was brilliant, excellent value for money and REAL twice cooked chips. Today we had Sunday roast which was excellent there was plenty of veg and the meat was succulent, well worth every penny.
The hosts were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, They have a good choice of Gins and are very knowledgable about what mixers to use and types of Gins best go with what. Would highly recommend it for a stop over on their camping field. Basic facilities but we have facilities in our van, toilets unlocked for over night use if needed

Stayed here for the weekend, site is under new management who have done a lot to improve the ambiance of the pub. The site is a simple field with some electric points. Wc facilities open all night in the pub.
The landlord is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area, nice walks and cycling.
Trip advisor says they are closed which is affecting businesses, I believe we need to support these local pub sites or we will lose them

Great location stopped here overnight to break up a long journey this was our first ever Moho stop when we brought the van 4 years ago how things have changed.
Pub unkept and dirty rubbish overflowing from bins outside, put in field full of sheep. Ehu is 3 pin socket half screwed to a wooden fence is this even legal? Bitterley disappointed as this could be a cracking site.
Do not stop here or at least fully check it out before hand.

Stayed at the Ostrich Inn for 4 nights and had a GREAT time. The facilities are basic --- but the pub grub --- and friendly helpful staff MORE THAN make up for them. The food was so good --- that I drove back the following week -- with my wife (who does not do camping) Just so that she could have a meal ---- and she agreed ---- the food is excellent. I will be returning for some more camping VERY SOON. Alan Barrett

Nice site, very large field. Had electric hook-up, need 3 pin adaptor plug. Clean toilets (no showers) well maintained children's play area. 'Zoo' animals well cared for, plenty of food and water.
Very nice pub, good pint of Marstons Pedigree, food looked very nice. Lovely drive into Ashbourne via small country lanes (or you can take the A52).
Will stay again.

Just returned from a very pleasant weekend at the Ostrich pub near Ashbourne.
Basic site just toilets and elsan disposal but clean. Electric hook-ups are available also.
The owners are very friendly and the food is excellent and well priced.
Well placed for visiting Ashbourne, Matlock, Derby or Nottingham.
There are no local shops however the pub has a good selection of basics and also free range eggs from their rare breed chickens.
Nice beer garden and play area for children.
A small quiet site with an excellent pub, what more can you want
We visited Keddleston Hall, Sudbury Hall and Carsington water also Ashbourne which is a very pleasant town.
I would recommend the site to anyone wanting a reasonably priced site with very friendly owners and customers
