We spent 2 nights here on our way to Brixham and then on to Cornwall.
Our description of the site would be exactly as the previous reviewer.
The site itself is enclosed by tall trees so it isn't somewhere you would want to stay all day. We spent one day exploring around the lanes and then into Sidmouth which is lovely.
We were made very welcome by members and had use of the shower and toilet facilities whilst the Club House was open.
We have nothing buy high praise for the quality of food on offer in the restaurant and for the cheerful friendly service offered by Lisa and Mary.
We had planned to stay there on the way home but decided to explore further afield and so changed our route.
We would definitely stay there again.

Our visit to Honiton Golf Club was courtesy of a faux pas by the Caravan Club.
There was a 'correction' piece in their magazine indicating that the CC had put Honiton Golf Club in the Cornwall section of the Commercial Sites in their Handbook and wanted to tell everyone that Honiton was in Devon.
We were looking for somewhere 'Up the Line' (we live in Cornwall) and this ticked all the boxes.
The site is easily accessed behind the clubhouse and is screened from the course by some large conifers. As a retired golfer I would suggest that there's very little chance of a stray golf ball visiting the site.
All the pitches are on hardstanding and, although they're not as pristine as one one find on a Club site, the gravel keeps it dry underfoot in wet weather. The pitches are a little closer together than is normally encountered but as we, and our accompanying friends were the only visitors, that wasn't a problem (after talking to members it was apparent that the site wasn't very well used). Each pair of pitches shares one post with two EHU's and separately there is a post with two water taps, ideal if you wish to use a mains supply direct to the 'van or motorhome. The site had the 'feel' of a CL/CS on steroids.
Road noise from the country lane adjacent was minimal and did not affect sleeping in the least. Our companions have a dog and that enjoyed plenty of exercise on the course in the twilight when the golfers had finished for the day.
As a visitor we were made very welcome and had the full use of the Clubhouse (when open) This included use of the showering and toilet facilities. The showers in the Gentleman's locker room were communal (four showers) and were, it seemed, newly appointed and in very good order. I understand there were two individual showers equally pristine in the Ladies Locker Room.
The Clubhouse provided restaurant facilities and we took advantage of this treating ourselves to a very well cooked two course meal for a tenner. There was a Licensed Bar, serving guest ales as well as spirits and soft drinks.
There are no shops within reasonable walking distance, Honiton being about 1. 5miles away down a steep, sharply cornered road, (that wasn't the approach road!) however it wasn't far to drive and for the week we were there we didn't have any problem finding a FREE parking.
Honiton provides all shopping needs and has a Tesco and Lidl supermarkets (Aldi being built as I type)
The beaches of Beer and Seaton are within 10miles and Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and Jurrasic Coast are not much further away making for many places to visit.
I've knocked one star off because the site isn't 'child friendly', unless of course the child is a budding Rory McIlroy. There's nothing for them to do but if you don't fall into the family category, this tucked away site offers a lot. Well recommended.
