Pleasant enough peaceful & popular CL site with mainly open views.
4 up-market Holiday letting properties adjoin etc were busy and kept Warden active, but caused no issues to us. All 5 pitches had good points and were well spread out to spacious site. Heavy rain had caused some soft ground to site and to some pitches, Grass had an overdue cut during our stay !
Quirky 'loo' with sea view, solo shower next to pool was good & warm (just a £1). Swimming pool (extra cost) was fine but 2020 CV19 access issues part restricted multiple use.
Beach 500m to front had no easy access due to coastal Train line between but a handy & popular mini station along lane towards Tywyn has a level crossing to get onto the mainly pebble beach.
Area very scenic & clearly Holiday bias - a car helps greatly for longer stays. Fairburn peninsula sandy beach & dunes area was great for our dogs & walks + had a mini ferry service shortcut over to Barmouth town.
Road access towing for us from East / via Queensferry etc was better in from the Tywyn road as coastal way from north & Barmouth estuary had many very narrow choke points - do check routes & satnav issues.
Hope this helps and please review your visits to assist others !

A CL with an indoor heated swimming pool! You pay extra for the use of the pool but it is a great facility. You share the pool with a few holiday cottages but we had it all to ourselves every day. The site itself is very attractive with views of the sea and the surrounding hills. Turn right out of the gate and go back up the lane a little way and you will find a bridleway that winds alongside the hillside at the rear of the site. The views are spectacular from the Pembrokeshire coast to the south and the Lleyn Peninsular to the north. You can see virtually the whole of Cardigan Bay. We were there in mid September and they had just had a week of heavy rain. A few people had been slipping and churning up the grass in the middle of the field. A heavy motor home could have had some problems. Also the grass had not been cut recently so it took a long time to dry out. But overall, a wonderful place to stay and enjoy this part of mid Wales. We enjoyed a trip on the Tallyllyn Railway and a walk up to Bearded Lake in Happy Valley. We didn’t have our tandem with us or we would have tried the cycle route over the new bridge into Tywyn.

This is a lovely site in a quiet area close to Tywyn. You book the pitch you would like before arriving, pitches are quite well spaced and most are sloping. We had a sea view from our pitch at the top end of the site, the sea is a short walk down the lane to Tonfanu station (trains to Tywyn, Pwllheli etc) then across a field to a stoney beach. There are sheep and cows in the surrounding fields and across the road from the CL there is the owners self-catering accomodation. The swimming pool and shower are charged extra and the toilet is 'rustic' but clean with a selection of brochures and books but remember to take a torch if using it at night as there is no lighting! There is a small garden within the CL and produce is offered for sale when available.
