A good site, easy to find and access on Station Road which is a dead end so not much traffic. Only saw the owners when we arrived and to pay, £20 pn all in so a fair enough price.
It's about 2 miles from Marple and New Mills, almost exactly on the Cheshire/Derbyshire border. Marple has an Asda, but is an uninspiring town. New Mills has a Co op where you can park unrestricted to visit Torrs Riverside Park which is lovely, with riverside cliffs of millstone grit and the not to be missed Millennium Walkway.
You can walk for miles if you want, but beware the mud in some places.
We were entertained by a horse in the next field, and although it's a farm there was little noise apart from grass cutting.
We would recommend this site.

Fully agree with the previous review - this is a delightful site with a friendly, helpful lady owner who met us on arrival.
The CL has a selection of hard-standing and spacious grass pitches, looking out across the farm's fields to the front and with a tree planted banking /hillside behind.
Electric hook-up points are dotted around the site and the owners have plenty of extension cables for you to borrow if you choose to pitch at a distance from them.
The water point, chemical disposal and bins are by the attractive site entrance. The grass is kept short and there are picnic benches for you to use.
There is also a small rally/overflow field across from the CL, with electric hook-ups and its own water pipe, where we pitched as the CL was full. This was just like being on a grass pitch on the CL, no further to the CDP, and we were also allowed to exercise our dogs in the adjoining field if we wanted, so we were very happy.
The Goyt Way runs just behind the site so there are good walking/dog-walking options directly from the site.
As the previous reviewer said, the Manchester to Sheffield train line runs behind the site (it's a couple of minutes walk to the station) and there is a B road across the fields, both tree-screened so very little noise from either. The only disturbance was from a bird scarer in the distance, obviously out of the site's control and fortunately not an issue for our dogs.
We paid £20 per night all included, which given current prices, we considered reasonable.
We will definitely be returning to this site, as we have links to the area.
Such a pity the overall rating for this site has been affected by the 1st review from 2018, which seems rather harsh.

Site on the outskirts of marple. Close to strines railway station which has trains to Piccadilly Manchester and new mills. 5miles drive to central stockport.
Plenty of nice walking. Canal, Roman lakes, Etherow country park, Lyme Park, peaks all near by.
The site is quiet, spacious with a larger grass area and smaller areas for hard standing. Overlooking a cattle field with a B road in the distance. Behind the field in a wooded bankside separating the site from the railway line.
No toilet or shower block. Our electric hook up was reliable. One tap and chemical toilet disposal.
To me this is an excellent CL. Relaxed, safe, quiet.

Having moved over to England from the Isle of Mann we stayed at this campsite from mid-January until mid-April while our bungalow was being renovated, we chose this site because it was the closest to our house.
The site itself is very basic but nice and quiet with EHU and hard standing, there is a lovely cafe just around the corner and a nice pub about 1/2 a mile which do nice food.
We thought it was a little on the dear side for that time of year and for a site with no facilities, we were charged £15 per night & £1 per night for the awning,
It served a purpose.
