A nice enough site, but it seems to have been added as something of an afterthought, as it's not really a designated area, more like a very wide grass verge on the right of the road into the golf club. It has the usual ehu points and cwd and seems to be reasonably well drained. There is definitely only room for 5 vans. The club house has loos and showers which can be used, but we didn't, however, they looked fine.
One of the main problems for us was that it was hard to find a decent Sky satellite signal. I asked about this when booking 'oh, it's fine' was the answer. It isn't really, there is a line of big oak trees to the south and you need to position your satellite dish very carefully. It can be done, but the signal sometimes comes and goes with the movement of the tree branches.
You don't get much help or welcome on arrival, just given a paper with rules and regulations, which is ok, but a little more acknowledgement would be nice. The club house has a bar and restaurant (the latter is not open in the evening), but can't comment as we didn't use them.
Obviously it's a good place for golf, and also has a fishing lake. They offer discounts for both sports if staying on the CL.
It's a reasonably secure site, with a gate which is locked at night (don't forget to ask for the code which is changed daily if going out for the evening). Cleobury Mortimer is about a mile away, has a Spar and other small shops. The nearest supermarkets are in Bridgnorth, Kidderminster and Ludlow, all about 12 miles away. There is a garage which you will see just before the turn to the site if coming from Kidderminster, but it doesn't seem to sell any food (has ice creams and cold drinks).
The area is lovely and well worth visiting, we will probably go there again. Currently the price is £15 per night, which we thought a little expensive. Oh, and the bird life in said oak trees is great.
