This was the loveliest site we have ever stayed at,
All grass 5/6 pitches, all with power.
It was so quiet there, there were chickens and ducks running about,
Caroline and Paul were great
So peaceful, defo go again,

Spent a lovely relaxing couple of nights here.
This was our second visit and the site was as lovely as we remembered it. We had a warm welcome from Caroline the owner.
The pitches are very spacious in a little orchard.
The main road isn’t very far away but the traffic noise is absolutely minimal.
The ducks and chicken are also very friendly and kept me entertained for hours.
Thank you and we’ll see you again soon.

The name of this site is a perfect description of what to expect… a level grassy area adjoining the owners garden, surrounded & sheltered by trees & hedges, pitches separated by shrubs, with lots of sunshine (when available).
Access is very easy with only a short stretch on a single track, with very little traffic & super large pitches once through the gate. The grass was extremely boggy due to torrential rain the day before our arrival & our car (a typical BMW) threw the teddy out so we had to unhitch & use the motor mover.
The sun did eventually come out, the grass dried up & no other arrivals had any problems pitching. We didn’t see the owners on our arrival (this is a CL after all) so we just set up on a free pitch, got the legs down & enjoyed a cuppa on the chairs provided beside each pitch.
The drinking tap wasn’t easy to spot, a fellow camper showed us its location, heavily camouflaged by flowers, to the right of the summer house/information hut. He also advised us to watch the ehu as it tripped regularly due to it being only 10amp but we never had any issues.
The information hut is brilliant, lots of leaflets, books & even a tv & settee. The owner did come to check on us the day after we arrived, to make sure we knew where everything was & that we had all we needed.
There are no toilets or showers, TV reception is good, WIFI is a bit slow but it was free so no complaints from us.
There are footpaths close by, one through the fields to the village of Fincham which doesn’t seem to have many amenities. Shops are to be found in the other direction at Downham Market.
If wildlife is your thing, the birdsong is a joy to listen to, there are friendly, free range chickens & ducks roaming around the site, horses in the paddock behind & deer in the neighbouring fields down towards the nature reserve.
If planes are your thing, you will enjoy the jets which fly over on their way to RAF Marham which is just down the road but beware, they are loud & tended to fly over between 10 & 10. 30 at night. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing or increased activity due to the current situation.
Just before we left, the owners called to thank us for visiting; I have no hesitation in recommending this site, we will definitely return if we visit the area again.
Oh, & the free range eggs were absolutely delicious.

Very pretty gem of a site, broken up with trees and hedges, so had the feel of being in their garden rather than a square field.
Each pitch has a table and chairs for you to use and nicnacks scattered around, giving a very relaxed feel to the whole site. There is a gazebo, and a fire pit area and other chairs / loungers around for guests to use. The whole site had a great feel to it.
Lovely owners who made us very welcome. There is a hut with comfy chairs, tv and fresh eggs for sale from the free ranging ducks and chickens.
There is sometimes fresh home baking available from the hut. We were here over jubilee weekend and had complimentary sausage rolls and the best ever lemon drizzle cake for all the guests.
Extremely peaceful with lots of birdsong, and the occasional snort from the horse in the next door field. The pitches are nice and level and well drained, on our last night there was torrential rain but the grass was not boggy or wet.
Although there is EHU, we chose to go off grid and the price was discounted as a result.
All in all a wonderful site, definitely one we will be back to visit.

We have just had 6 great nights at this site. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the site is extremely well kept and in a wonderful location.
A word of warning, when you go up the lane go slow if you go past the gate it is quite a tricky turn round up the lane, good job I had done the reversing course.
We can give this site 100% recommendation

A great little site, the owner could not be more helpful. There is a blackboard in the information cabin where you can order fresh bread and papers for the morning. The bread is wonderful! We were entertained during the day with our own airshow from the local air base, thankfully the planes stopped at tea time. I am sure we will return for another relaxing break. The entrance can be a bit tight if you have a large outfit.
