We were staying in Wisbech over the weekend and wanted to have a week near Fakenham. The two sites we wanted to stay at were full but we found this little gem adult only site and are so glad we did. It has one toilet and a very hot shower so my husband told me, and very clean too. Water, Elsan and recycling bins are not too far away from a lovely mowed field - clippings taken away too. There is a little traffic noise rush hour times but we didn't really notice it. Chickens came into the field catching bugs which we found funny to watch and sometimes the owners dog but he was no problem as he is old and has cataracts. There is an open ended shed with information and book exchange too. You will need chocks as it does slope a bit.
Only about four mikes from Fakenham where you'll find a Tesco and Morrisons and about three fish and chip shops and quite a few shops. Had a bad meal and service at Wetherspoons but two very nice meals at a The Running Horse near Morrisons - they do two for one meals and as we didn't expect much from it, we were very surprised at the good low cost meals, cleanliness and customer service.
It's only about six miles from the coast. Burnham Market is very pretty and has expensive shops and gastro pubs. Only got to look round once as it's all on-street parking and you will be very lucky to get parked. At Brancaster there is a crab shed which sells big crab baguettes for £4 and enough for two people. In Cromer a must eat place is No. 1 for their fish and chips. Not cheap at £10 but you get what you pay for and is delicious.
We will return to this site as soon as we can.

This was our second visit to this site, the first being in July 2012, The site is very well kept and clean. The WC and shower and were very clean, and the waste disposal area was also clean and practical.
The site is fairly close to the Fakenham to Burnham Market road and though you can hear the traffic at times, it wasn't obtrusive. When approaching the caravan site from the Fakenham direction, the entrance is very close to a corner on the right so would be easy to miss. RAF Sculthorpe is close by and is very rarely used and should not be an issue and the same would apply for all CC sites in the area.
We would definitely use the site again when in the area.
If you want a rural 'unfussy' site, then this one is for you.
