Used this site as an overnight stopover for Equinox Festival. Lovely little site. Spotlessly clean facilities, everything you could ask for really. Good pub 20 minutes walk from the site. Out of the gate turn right keep going. The Cross Keys, Excellent pint and the food looked good.

When we arrived we were greeted by Jenny and what a lovely warm welcome it was. She explained all we needed to know and left us to it. Lovely peaceful site exactly what we were looking for. We had our motorbike with us so it was a great base with great places to visit in all directions. Shower and toilet spotless. Will definitely be booking again. Oh and yes colin the cat is a friendly additions to the site he came and sheltered in our camper on the last evening from the storm with us. Thanks Jenny and Wayne such lovely hosts.

We spent 3 weekends there over April into May. Fantastic little site tucked away just off the A16. The approach is easily accessible about a mile off the A16 then just before the railway crossing you turn right into the site. We were greeted straight away by Jenny the owner of the site. She showed us where to pitch and where everything we needed was plus some local information. A motor mover would be an advantage but not essential as there is usually someone around to help push the caravan into place. The site was originally created for motorhomes but caravans are now becoming popular to stay over. All pitches are hardstanding. The site is very peaceful. Wastewater, Drinking water, Showers, and toilets are next to the pitches. Jenny's husband Wayne is usually around to give help too. Sited next to Ludborough railway station this has to be a must for any enthusiast. You can hear them through the day when running but it's not annoying I think it adds character to the site. The people that run the railway are really proud of their achievement of bringing the railway back to life and will gladly show you around. The trains don't run every week but check online for when they do. 10 Minutes drive into the village of Louth, 20 Minutes to Cleethorpes, 40 minutes to Skegness and only a few miles away from Cadwell park. There are also a few local pubs serving great food (Jenny sometimes has discount vouchers for food in the pubs)
All in all a fantastic gem of a site that's very well kept. A credit to the owners for all their hard work creating this site. We will definitely be back in the future. Great value for money 10/10 all the way from me.

Just a big thank you again, you've got a really unusual campsite in such a different setting.
The trains are really great to look around.
We certainly enjoyed our stay with you, will certainly be back soon, hopefully get a ride on the train next time.
Well worth a visit, good facilities, close to Louth for shopping.
Good for cyclists as roads are flat.

Just returned from a week's stay at the sidings and cannot praise enough.
Owners are so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable.
Do not enforce any stupid rules just let you get on with your stay, let you use your common sense and treat the site with respect.
Local town Louth only 10 Min drive away has all the pubs and shops supermarkets etc.
Couple of local pubs nearby site with good atmosphere and ales. Grimsby only 10 miles North and Skegness 30 miles miles South (40 min drive) great day out.
Would not hesitate to visit again if in the area.
Wayne and Jenny are great hosts

Spent a couple of days on this site ;brilliant! The 'Snailsspace' title says it all, left to your own devices very relaxing, having received a very friendly and welcoming greeting. The facilities were excellent, clean and tidy, . Showers likewise. The best way to find the place is to follow the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway signs. Do NOT go into Ludborough as the A 16 splits the village into two. There is a pub in Ludborough though; about 1/2 mile from the site it is being re-furbished at present therefore not open. The Cross Keys pub is open, about 1 mile past the site the other way in Fulstow, very good atmosphere & ale. Anyway would recommend this site to anyone, location, views, site owners all very good, will definitely go again when in the area. [also dog friendly] even with a cat on site.

Stayed here over Easter weekend, there was a steam train rally to the station next door.
On approach to the site, use the postcode recommended for the station, if using satnav, as there is a bypass and you may be sent down the wrong road.
The site is level and all hard standing, easy access to the site, from the 'B' road.
Site has 5 pitches with 16amp hook up, no room for an awning on 4 of the pitches, but one pitch did have room.
Cars are parked on separate area to the caravan due to space restriction.
Site had a single shower, toilet and basin, plus sink in a wooden style cabin and outside tap for water. This did not cause us any problems with queuing, as you paid attention to other peoples timing.
Nice touch from the owners, who put a kettle and some drink supplies in the cabin.
Cabin was always clean, as a mop was supplied and you clean as you use.
Owners are very friendly and welcoming to the site, the two resident cats are very friendly and entertained our children, I would recommend the site for couples, although we were a family of four and enjoyed it, would visit again.
Good value for money @£14 per night.

Lovely motorhome site with 5 pitches. Situated next to the station for the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway. Excellent facilities, bathroom with shower/toilet/washbasin and a wash up area with lots of information about the local area. Great location, easy access to Louth and Grimsby. Beautiful views across the fields. Very friendly and helpful owners who live on site in a converted train carriage. We loved staying here and will definitely return!

Spent 1 night at this Campsite, which has 5 spaces, and found we were the only ones on site. The site is next to the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway(LWR) at Ludborough. I was due to have a footplate ride, hence, our delight that we could stay overnight so close to where we needed to be. The owners gave us a very friendly welcome, we were allowed to park as we liked. We were shown the facilities which were very clean and tidy. They are housed in a wooden building which is for washing up and has leaflets etc with information about the area, a separate toilet/shower room is at the back. We walked to Fulstow with our two Spaniel's and found The Cross Keys which had recently been refurbished, unfortunately they do not allow dogs in, but as it was a lovely day we had a meal and a pint sat outside, which was good and reasonable value. The walk was about a 2 mile round trip on a quiet country road. The next day, we travelled the train to North Thoresby and had lunch at The New Inn PH. No dogs allowed there also, so it was lunch in the garden again! The meal was good and very reasonable. Overall this is a lovely site with extremely helpful and friendly owners and if you like trains it definitely the place to stay. We will definitely return.
