Met up with family for socially distanced birthday bbq. Lovely place, very clean & tidy.
Pitches are all on level ground. Owners very friendly & couldn't be more helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for a peaceful weekend

Just had a long weekend here and really enjoyed it.
Great site - well looked after, spacious flat grass pitches, setup however you like.
Good facilities, clean toilets and pot wash area, recycling and CDP.
Owners are friendly and helpful, they have a firepit area with wood and barbeques you can borrow and take to your pitch.
Plenty of local walks, close to the market town of Louth and the seaside and beaches at the coast.
All in all a nice place for a relaxing break, we'll be back.

Just spent 7 enjoyable nights here.
The field was huge & flat. When we booked the site over the phone we were told by the owners, Mike & Yvonne, to park anywhere we liked & they would see us later in the day. Mike came along later to see us & brought us some home grown produce from his polytunnel.
Mike & Yvonne were very friendly & helpful while we were there & enjoyed a chat most days.
1 Day our car wouldn't start so we had to call the breakdown services out (I can definitely recommend Startrescue. Co. Uk. They arrived in less than 20mins!). We needed a new battery & Mike managed to get us a good discount from a company he used.
The toilet was very clean - just cold water though. This didn't matter as we werehed & showered in our caravan.
The only snag was the elsan point which was up a couple of steps & the emptying point was at waist height so it was a bit tricky. Hence the 7 out of 10 for site facilities.
Yvonne provided a print-out of local shops & points of interest in the area which was very helpful.
The nearest shops etc are a good 2 mile walk away or 5 minutes by car.
The site is in easy driving distance of the coast such as Mablethorpe & Skegness as well as inland towns such as Louth & Lincoln.
All in all we had a few enjoyable days of peace & quiet & will use the site again if we're in the area.

Went here for a C&C meet, not knowing the area. It is 4 to 5 miles from the traditional market town of Louth and a similar distance from the coast. Marshchapel is 2 miles away with 2 pubs and a shop and there are several other pubs nearby. Owner is a great guy, really friendly and helpful. Site has a nice clean toilet with cold water and a separate block with cold water washing- up and a well-maintained chemical disposal point. Site is fairly exposed but owner has planted hundreds of trees which are not yet mature. Fishing on doorstep and reservoir right next door.
Recommended for a quiet stay but plenty to do on the doorstep.

Stayed here for a weekend, we chose this site as we wanted to walk with the dog around Covenham Reservoir and along the Louth canal. The weather was fantastic whilst we were there, it had rained for two days solid prior to our arrival but it caused no problems as the site has very good drainage. The owners are friendly and are very knowledgeable on the local area and are happy to help with any queries.
The site itself is a large level field with an area sectioned off as the certificated site, there is also an area for rallies. It does have some shelter and the owners have planted hedging so that the entire site is sheltered but this hasn't matured yet. At present there are no toilets or showers but the owners are looking at installing some in the future. There is an undercover washing up area and to the rear is the CDP area, also undercover.
There is a lot of wildlife in the area, whilst we were there we saw deer, herons and owls. Badgers walk through the site at night but I didn't see them unfortunately.
There are two pubs (which serve food) a well stocked shop and a chip shop in the nearby village of Marshchapel. The White Horse has a large beer garden at the back where you can get some great close up views of military air craft that fly around the area.
Fishing is available both at the reservoir and the canal but day tickets are needed. It's also a good area for cycling as it is very flat. There are some good walks in the vicinity and it is possible to walk 7 miles into Louth along the canal though we didn't get that far! The coast and Louth are both within a short drive of the site.
I'd happily stay at this site again, especially at the great price of £8 for 2 adults and a dog.
