Very warm welcome on arrival, views were outstanding and situated in a beautiful part of Wales. Had everything we needed and very clean, toilet, shower etc to very high standard also had area for cooking, washing up and were able to purchase essentials such as bread, milk. Pitched tent with no problems on level ground with no stones.
We managed the walk to the pub at the bottom of the lane and also very nice walk along the canal to Berriew village.
Child friendly.
Would definitely return.
Thank you

Have just had a 3-night stay at this campsite. This is a lovely area with lots of things to do (gorgeous Powis Castle and the Welshpool narrow-guage railway being only 2). The site is in a very quiet spot on a steep narrow lane, and the new facilities are excellent, but in the interest of accuracy it must be pointed out that there is only one toilet and one shower, and the only washbasin, apart from the kitchen sink, is within the toilet cubicle. (Several of us washed in the kitchen. ) The shower is excellent but you can imagine a time when there are 10 tents on the field with no 'own sanitation'. The field slopes steeply and most of the flat ground is at the bottom where the view is not visible past the hedge. It's a lovely spot but know what to expect. Not many people could walk almost a mile down a steep lane in 10 minutes to the pub as mentioned, and it will take much longer to walk up. A torch is much needed - stargazing is superb.
Children were having a lovely time with a rope swing and lots of space, and chickens to see. The campers' kitchen with microwave, kettle and toaster is undoubtedly useful, especially for those hardy enough to arrive by bicycle in this hilly terrain!
We gathered that electric hookups and possibly another toilet may be in the pipeline. We were glad to be there at a quiet time. We wish the campsite every success.

As part of a long distance cycle ride along the river Severn I stayed here for 1 night. After recovering from the climb up the hill, a quick look round at the near panoramic view made it all worthwhile.
As we had no support vehicles on the ride we were not carrying any cooking equipment. With prior arrangement the site provided a camping stove with eggs, bacon, milk and tea. This was located in a very useful washing up room.
The toilet and shower were clean and there was no payment required. The camping field is on a slope, but there are flat areas at the top and bottom. Where I pitched the ground was free of stones making it easy to get the pegs in.
I would recommend this site to anyone wanting to explore the Welsh borders around Welshpool and Newtown.

Picked this campsite at random for a one-night stay for my birthday - we were going to Powys Castle the next day. (Asked my partner to take me to Paris but got Powys instead!) Couldn't have chosen better - we were the first to visit this brand new site. It has stunning views, lovely welcome and facilities immaculate. Cattle in the field opposite, birds singing and even wonderful weather - what a birthday! Worth a walk to the bottom of the lane and along the canal where we saw otters and masses of waterlife. Powys Castle is nearby, of course, and Montgomery also worth a visit. Fabulous!

We have just had the most relaxing break ever at Middle Brithdir. The views are splendid, as are the facilities and the hospitality. Lots of fabulous walks and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. We are keen walkers and were not disappointed with the variety of routes: no need to drive anywhere to enjoy spectacular scenery, which is a real bonus. As we are also keen on water sports we were also within easy driving distance of lake Vyrnwy and had a fabulous time canoeing on the lake and cycling around it. I will definitely be returning soon.

Very quiet and peaceful site, well run, would stay again. Lovely views, allowed to pitch up where ever you wanted in the camping area. We choose the pitch at the top of the field with stunning hill top views. Plenty of places to visit locally Powis castle worth a visit but no dogs allowed in the grounds. Lovely garden centre Coed y dinas near by. Warm welcome given by owners, very helpful. Toilets and showers very clean. The fresh free range eggs were delicious, we bought extra and took them home.
Definitely worth staying.

Very peaceful, tidy site with stunning views. Good, new, clean toilets and shower facilities. Owners very welcoming and friendly, gave us some good ideas of where to eat and local activities etc. There is a pub with restaurant about a 10 minute walk away. Powis castle (National Trust) is about 2. 5 miles from the site, we cycled there along the country lanes and had a great day out, worth a visit. Will definitely we returning to the site we loved it!

A wonderfully peaceful site. Views to die for, really friendly & welcoming owners. The small site is nestled next to a mini orchard so is relatively sheltered - although we had beautiful weather so provided welcome shade. All the facilities looked new & very clean & the shower is in a converted milking parlour. A great spot for exploring mid wales. Powys castle is well worth a visit. But the site felt like our own piece of paradise so was difficult to drag ourselves away. It is so quiet all you could hear were the chickens laying the fresh eggs for our breakfast & the bees humming in the hives. And with a pub just a ten minute walk away down a pretty little lane what more could you want.
