Had a fabulous two night stay over Easter weekend at Easthope.
Small site with limited pitches but plenty of space per pitch. Some of the grass pitches are on a gentle slope.
In a very quiet small lane just off the main B4371.
Site does have a small shed/hut with a single toilet and another with toilet and shower both of which were very clean.
Wifi was excellent and never dropped out, did manage to get a phone single on Vodafone and O2 but was a little hit & miss for those that need to be in contact.
Friendly hosts that pretty much leave you alone (unless you need them) once set up. Nice walk through the farm fields coming out at the end of the village. Overall a smashing little site if you want to get away from it all for a few nights. Would say this place best suites couples rather than families with small children as there is not very much for the kids to do, no play area or anything like that.
Would have been prefect apart from a large family tenting who seemed to think canvas is sound proof while still up chatting and laughing at past 1am on one of the nights.
We will return. Recommended.

Excellent site, we were in need of a quiet, peaceful few days and that's just what we found. Lydia and James were perfect hosts and the site was immaculate.
The dog walk is just that not just a strip of grass but a proper walk through farm land and past a lovely pool.
Hot shower and good washing up facilities all you need.
Thankyou so much.

Great small site with friendly owners who take pride in the sites appearance and really make you feel welcome.
Beautiful views to wake up too, quiet, shower, toilet, fresh water, hookup.
No local pub or shops but a short drive to The Gaskill Arms in Much Wenlock for some great food with fresh veg.
Will definitely book again next year. Highly recommend this site

Lovely site which is well maintained and the grass is kept very well mown. There are 2 toilets and there is a shower (it's free!) incorporated with one of the toilets.
Toilet paper is provided and there are electric hand dryers provided in both cubicles. There is a sink provided for dishwashing and there are signs saying hot and cold water but we didn't use this.
We're not members of the caravan and camping club but that didn't seem to be an issue with them and we were charged the standard £12p/n.
Bad points - the site is located next to a working farm. The day after we arrived it smelt like they'd done some muck spreading and then for the remainder of the stay we were deluged with flies.
It is the countryside though! We also discovered the area is a bit of a signal black spot so it was very difficult to get in touch with home. Also, the 2 nearest pubs have been shut for over 12 months so you have to travel into much Wenlock (about 4 miles) for a pub or shops.
Would definitely consider revisiting.

This small site is absolutely lovely! The ground is sloping, although that didn't cause us any major problems. The grass is very smooth and well maintained and it was easy to hammer tent pegs into.
The shower is in a spacious wooden cabin, and is very clean.
The setting for the camp site is beautiful and nearby Much Wenlock is a fantastic place to visit.
We met one of the owners, who couldn't have been more helpful.
Would definitely return!

We stayed at Easthope in our newly built trailer for 12 nights in March of this year. A small farm site set amongst lovely countryside the site provides good sized numbered pitches with electricity as well as unmarked tent spaces.
The ablutions consist of 2 well maintained rooms, one providing shower, wash basin and toilet and the other a wash basin and toilet. Outside is a large washing up area with belfast sink and draining facility. There is plenty of hot water at all times.
Shopping is in Much Wenlock some 4/5 miles away, with a pub within walking distance.
The whole site is well maintained and looked after by 2 very friendly and helpful people. Children and dogs are all welcome.
It provides a good base for touring in the Shropshire hills and visiting the Ironbridge Gorge. We would definitely return there.
The best thing was NO intrusive flood lights on the site. It was possible to sit in the dark and admire the stars.

We camped for four nights in a tent, no hook up. The site was nicely kept, in a lovely location.
The toilet shower room was clean and adequate. We didn't try the local pub, (just over a mile away), as the weather was glorious we didn't want to waste the lovely views from the site.
There is a sharp right hand turn which would be difficult if towing a caravan, but there is another way around to approach the site.

Not very well signposted (might not find it in the dark) my satnav took me to the bottom of the 'village so I went up the hill towards the site (I only noticed the site because of the union jack), then I had to do a 3point turn in someones driveway (not easy in a 26ft motorhome)
Then I let myself in & went to my allocated pitch; stayed for 2 nights looking for a site for a bit of walking/bikeriding! (never found any should have had my towing car with me)
The site is mostly grass slope with a central gravel road. I needed wedges to lift the one side up.
The showers/ toilet/ dishwashing shed (one) was compact; clean & tidy although it could do with a drainer board by the sink.
It was a pleasant place to stay until a young couple with a red van towing a caravan parked next to me. Their son grizzled most of the time they were there (I think he was just one of those kids) and it spoiled the peace of Saturday/Sunday till they left.
I even considered looking for another site. One other thing no phones or satellite reception on the site.
