Just had easter weekend here at the foxhollows, and had a really great time. We turned up friday and wasn't booked in( my fault I thought I had already done this ) but didn't cause any problems, just pitch there there or there ? was the reply oh I see so which ever suits us best, yeap ! great we pitched up and agreed to see the owner in pub after we were settled. £17 per night we paid for caravan 2 x adults 1 x child with EHU. I thought this was a fair price for the site, all pitches are grass but there is a gravel road/path around the center. Pitches are plenty and are a fair size more than enough room. Easy access to the site and pitches and the location is brilliant close enough to m62 and york hull brid/ scarborough are all close enough for a visit. There is a couple of takeaways in the village and a small supermarket for all your essentials and more.
Pub on site is great and does meals, we only had the liquid variety and really enjoyed ourselves. Easter Sunday the owner put on a few activities for the kids which consisted of various bouncy castles face painting bbq and a Easter egg hunt, the site is a size that although all this was going on it didn't feel we were cramped at all. Great site.
After staying on site I did make a couple of recommendations to the owner who seemed to be grateful, 1 was a light above the elsan point (plus a shelf for the toilet cap) also we couldn't work either the men's or the ladies shower properly, mine the men's, only stayed warm/hot for 5 mins if that and would not heat up again. The ladies seemed to be the same. These are being looked into and I do hope so because it really is a great site which we will be back to visit. Just one last point, it might pay to get a bigger bin for the site, one wheely bin is not adequate for the size of the site.

Wow what a fantastic site. We went with 14 caravans the site had electric hook ups a toilet block and showers(we cannot comment did not use) as it was Easter weekend the site did not feel cramped. The site owner was brilliant he could not do enough for us all. The prices in the pub was reasonable and food was excellent. Saturday night we all went to the social club down the road (26 of us) and had a great evening as we were made so welcome. 'Lionel' the singer had us all well entertained. Easter Sunday evening we all participated in the unusual quiz. Our team won!
Lots of places to visit nearby, village had a small selection of shops and takeaways. The villagers were very friendly.
We will definitely be returning.
Thank you to everyone at hare and hounds for a great Easter weekend especially the site owner and quizmaster.

Four night stay at this site. Very friendly and relaxed welcome. Only one unit allowed to book at a time at the moment as the toilet and shower blocks are not yet finished. Blocks will be lovely when fully finished, but would be nice to have washing up facilities - we did pass this advice on to the manager who seemed keen to develop the site to a good standard. Toilets and one wetroom shower functioning, as well as water and electricity, so we were happy. We arrived following a very wet day and heavy rain that evening, but pitch drained and dried quickly. All grass pitches for up to 23 units. Excellent facilities all within a few hundred yards of site in village: butcher, baker, various take-aways, two pubs and cafe. Playing field for football games etc. Behind village hall across the road and pool table in one of the pubs which our teens were allowed to use which we appreciated. Sainsbury's and Aldi supermarkets in pretty town of Pocklington around 6 miles away. While it was nice to be able to spread out as much as we liked, we did miss chatting with other campers and caravanners.

Brand new site which at the time of visiting had half finished toilet blocks & showers. We were told at the time of booking that there was no shower facilities, no mention of lack of toilets. Fortunately, we had facilities on board. The site is situated at the back of the Hare & Hounds pub in the village of Holme on Spalding Moor. The site is level & flanked on two sides by horses grazing in fields which was nice. There are 23 hook ups in total. The pub was very quiet Saturday & Sunday night despite the fact there was a village festival going on at the time. We tended to go further afield to eat & drink as we found the pub just a bit too quiet. The lady/barmaid/cook/booker in, etc who was around most of the time was friendly & chatty. The village isn't the prettiest by any stretch but is a good base for going into the Wolds. The village has two other pubs, small supermarket, bakers, butchers etc & a very good Indian takeaway called Tanims
We thought £17. 00 a night with no facilities was pretty steep & when we questioned the cost we were told that once the toilets & showers are up & running the price will go up.
We don't think we will be returning to this particular site anytime soon.
We would have increased the site facilities rating if the toilet/shower block been functional.
