What a lovely site
Sandra was lovely and most welcoming nothing was a problem even let us get an order from amazon delivery to her address which we were very grateful for
Exceptionally clean site toilet and showers
Very clean very quiet site
We loved it that much we were notified by Sandra we were supposed to leave Wednesday morning so we asked if it was okay to stay another night and we were accommodated for another night thanks Sandra, Honestly we were not trying to get another night for free on this lovely site
Will definitely be back and also the weather was fantastic, so thanks again Sandra for a great stay

Pleasant small site reasonably priced 15mins walk into Pickering town centre.
Pitches fairly level but some a bit short although you are asked for unit size when booking, clean facilities, separate showers, water was sometimes only warm, welcoming owner.
Lidl and Coop in town, market day on Monday plenty of pubs, cafes to eat at. Nymr railway in town with trains to Grosmont or Whitby.
Pickering castle to visit plus frequent buses to Scarborough.

Pleasant little site, close to centre of Pickering.
Decent facilities, friendly proprietor.
Small gripe - short timing on lights in the loo (take a torch for any sit down night visits!).
Good for the steam railway, castle and pubs/restaurants.

Very clean facilities, grass well cut, easy walk into Pickering with all facilities there including supermarket for supplies.
Pitches are not very large though with too many "units" squeezed into the site in our opinion. Mixture of campervans, motorhomes, caravans and tents.
There are 18 main pitches around the edge of the field, of which we were on one, but other units were squeezed into the middle of the field.
There is a smaller field behind the facilities block with more units squeezed in. Despite this large number of pitches there is only one shower which is inadequate.
Some inconsiderate people on site while we were there. Someone washing kitchen equipment under the drinking water tap even though a wash-up sink not far away.
Another peeling potatoes under the running drinking water tap, causing a small flood on the walkway through to the facilities and leaving the peelings under the tap.
Also, owners not picking up dog mess left on the grass near our campervan.

The only thing to like about this site is its short walk to Pickering, which is lovely town, lots of nice cafes, would highly recommend the Black Swan pub, friendly staff and lovely outdoor space.
We were on Pitch 1 which shouldn't be a pitch, as its right next to the only water point on the site, waste water in front of the pitch, pot wash and toilets directly behind and also the elson point.
Only 2 showers one of which was for disabled, and 2 ladies and 2 mens toilets, not good when the site was full.
The mens toilet was dirty on one day and stayed like that until the following day, so one toilet on a full site.
Pitches are very tired, weeds growing up through the hardstanding
Wouldn't stay again, very disappointing
