 This is our second visit to this site, we found it by chance last year, liked it so much that we left our caravan there over the winter & spring, returning at the end of May. We will leave the caravan on site again this year.
Very quiet & peaceful, suited for couples or those with young children. Lovely pool surrounded by hedging & some trees providing shade at one end. All the pitches are well shaded with many mature trees. Separate toilet & shower facilities for male/female. All facilities are very clean. Small shop with limited supplies but supermarket half mile away. Washing machines but no dryers.
When you arrive, you can walk around to see the site, then choose your own pitch. Located on the main Palamos-Palafrugell dual carraigeway, there is some road noise especially in the area beside the road, but this would be reduced in the further pitches. Also dogs barking at night.
Palamos & Palafrugell and their beaches both about 10 mins drive. La Fosca beach about 5 mins. Campsite ideally situated for whole Costa Brava, including Barcelona (1. 5hrs), Montserrat (1. 75hrs), Girona (35mins).
Good restaurants at all the beaches. Also check out the Can Padres 1 and 2 on the road to Pals (also known amongst campers as the 'chicken farm'). Cheap cheerful good food with a dose of noisy Spanish atmosphere!
There is a small bar/restaurant which will open in July.
The campsite is family run with the owners speaking excellent English. They are very friendly and helpful and are part of the reason we came back.
This is not an all singing all dancing campsite but if you like birdsong, shady trees, friendly faces and peaceful atmosphere, then check it out.
