 Excellent location to visit Rocamadour.
Central to local restaurants and small supermarket.
Clean well organised site.
No entertainment but that suited us.

All campsites for Rocamadour are in this small village above it.
Firstly the site itself is easy to find just turn off the road and its there. Nice open grassy campsite with 6 amp and 10 amp. Lots of water taps about. Swimming pool area was fine if a tad basic, we had the pool to ourselves. Small kids play area. Showers a little dated but fine.
The area, suberb. Fab place to eat right opposite called panorama. Just round the corner from it a small shop for food stuff. Again just round the corner from panorama resteraunt is where the night train goes from that takes you down for the night time view of Rocamadour. Also from here you have a great view of it all looking down into the village.
Tourist info office is in main part of the village, next to caves to visit. A bit further on, we had electric bikes, is where the Ramparts are. Its a bit of a walk but there was loads of parking there. This is where you get the cable car down to Rocamadour. Near the ramparts is a bird show thing but we didn't go in this time.
My final thing to say is that just 2 mins past the campsite going out of town is a monkey place, you must do this ! Take the popcorn offered at reception when you pay. Its a fab visit, not like a zoo so if you are just adults please still go and take a camera.
We loved it here and are going back with the kids. The campsite is a little basic but the location etc makes up for this.
Note just past it was another campsite that looks a little posher, it doesn't open until July and also has chalets on it.
