Stayed for the weekend at this very good site. We were welcomed by Paul on our arrival, he kindly assisted us to settle our caravan then showed us where to find the shower, toilet area. Very helpful pleasant guy, Diane was too, speaking to her initially when we made our booking over the phone. The facilities were good = toilet area was clean and spacious. A quiet well kept site, good pub close by, no noise, except the owls hooting in the trees at night, lovely. Also nice walks around the village especially up to the banks of the river Trent where fisher folk were obviously enjoying the pass time. It was a bit tight, space wise, when initially entering the site via the slip road, even so no problem really. Would certainly go again. Thank you both for a nice stay, albeit a short one.

I rang to book this site and was given very clear directions. We were given a very warm welcome. A real little gem. The site is behind the friendship inn but not connected to the pub. The track beside the pub is rough and may be narrow for very large units. Mainly hard standings with EHU. A toilet and shower are at the top of the site. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the site which is quiet and well maintained by the owners.

This is a small and beautifully kept site. On arrival, the owner made us feel very welcome and showed us to our pitch and even helped push the caravan in place, nothing was too much trouble, and he gave us lots of information about things to do in the area. He then showed us the shower and toilet, which were clean and always smelt lovely! The shower was clean with good water pressure.
Most of the caravans appeared to be seasonal pitches and the owner told us that many of his visitors are there for local fishing.
Whilst there are no facilities for children on site, there is a small public playground at the entrance to the site.
Lincoln is in easy reach of the site and we spent a lovely afternoon there.
We chose this site for a one night stopover and we thought the pub looked nice on the internet. When we went into the pub (and eventually got the attention of the barman/manager, which took some time) we were told not to bring the children in as some of the regulars would be in shortly and that there would be bad language, and that they weren't serving food anyway. The website for pub clearly stated that food would be served at the time we were there and that it was family friendly. Not impressed at all.
I was under the misconception that the pub and the site were part of the same business, but this is NOT the case. The site owner couldn't be more friendly and helpful, which is more than I can say for the man in the pub!
We will be coming back to the site (without the children), but not the pub!

This is a very pleasant small site with good pitches and clean facilities. The owners made us feel very welcome. The location suited us very well, being conveniently situated in range of the A1/A57 but in quiet rural surroundings. Lincoln and the Wolds are in reasonable driving distance or there are local walks near the river Trent. The local pub and village shop are less than 5 minutes away. Recommended.

We arrived at this site and were greeted by the owner Paul. He showed me where all the site facilities were located and even offered to helpme site my unit. After a peaceful night we went into Lincoln to site see. On our return the owner, Paul, greeted us again and started up a conversation. What a pleasant man. We enjoyed our stay at this site as it was so peaceful and the facilities were spot on. Hot water in the shower, and towels too. Though there were only the 1 shower and W. C. It didn't bother us as we never had to queue or wait to use them. All in all, a pleasant site with a pleasant owner. We'll certainly bo going back soon and would recommend this site to friends etc.
