Just seen the only other review. All I can say is that the campsite is better than that by far. We have been going annually since 2002 (and only missed last year owing to health issues). We are going back this summer.
The location cannot be bettered and, although some of the ablutions are not brilliant, that is only the older ones. All the new facilities are of a high standard and are cleaned numerous times each day. We have used the site in the very high season and had no problems with the number or state of the facilities. My daughter, who has almost grown up at the site, calls it her little piece of heaven.
This place is wonderful.

As we were driving along the road we spotted this site, with caravans and tents dotted amongst the sand dunes in the distance. There are no designated pitches and we were able to choose where we camped. We found a great level spot to park our camper van looking out to sea, within distance of an electrical hook up point. This is a massive site and early in the season it was only necessary to have 2 of the loo/shower facilities open. The facilities here are basic, you do get hot showers, but everything seems a little grubby and the toilets are interesting to say the least. As is often the case in France, there is no designated male/female division for facilities, in our toilet block there were 4 urinals along one wall, and on the other side 4 toilet cubicles (2 of which were the hole in the ground variety). This is a great location out of season, but I would imagine in the high season the facilities would be pretty pushed. We walked to Cap Frehel and back from this site along the coast path as this site is situated on the GR34 route, it took us 2. 5 hours to get there (stopping often to look at views, birds etc), and less coming back along the road. We paid 12, 10 euros a night.
