Beautiful place with only 2 portaloos that could've been found in a skip. So glad we had our own bathroom.
Surely wouldn't take much to install a basic amenities block.

Now known as Peak View.
Stayed here for a very sunny Easter weekend. What a fab site! One of our favourites now.
Julie the owner who lives on site is so lovely and she let's children interact with the resident pigmy goats, she even let them out once to roam the campsite and the children loved it.
A very well manicured gently sloping site but there is an area at the bottom which is more or less flat for tents.
Lots of space for ball games etc.
Two portaloos (which were less than desirable to be honest) but if you have your own facilities is doesn't matter anyway.
Trailer for rubbish, water tap and elsan point. Free use of fire pits amd unlimited free fire wood!
Great area near to lots of attractions such as high peak trail for cycling, carsington water for cycling, water sports, picnicing and playground. Wirksworth village not far and mount cook adventure centre plus many more so an excellent base.
We shall definitely be returning!

I stayed here for 1 night with 2 children.
Beautiful peaceful site, with option of firepits and BBQs at specified location.
Friendly owners
One very clean portaloo fully stocked
1 fresh water tap
Recycling bins
Wirksworth and Carsington Water a few minutes drive away, Black Rocks worth a visit.
We shall definitely return, cant find a negative.

We have just had a lovely few days at this campsite. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us, our 11 month old daughter and two dogs!
There was only one other caravan which left on Sunday leaving us with the whole field to ourselves for two days.
The facilities are very basic comprising of a portaloo and tap but that is all reflected in the price, and all that we needed!
There are excellent dog walks close by and we will definitely be making a return visit in the future.
A perfect start to our Campervan adventures!

Just spent the weekend here and what a fantastic little site it is. Right from pulling onto the site, the owners were very welcoming and friendly.
Portaloo + tap = proper camping. Its possibly the most basic campsite you will ever come across but the owners help, the views, the location and the cost more than make up for this. Freshly laid eggs for breakfast and by fresh I mean a few hours. Entertainment for kids means bring a football, bowl and a sponge provides the washing facilities.
Strolling distance to the high peak trail, carsington waters and wirksworth. We will be back next weekend
