I enquired using the online form on here and the owner was quick to reply and let me know the cost of £15 for the night for 2 adults with one dog and no electric. She then sent me a link to pay on my phone and told me to just turn up and choose a pitch.
The site is easy to find and just outside of Yeovil, which is why we chose the site, we needed to get something locally and this was ideal. The top part of the site is flat, however the bottom part (which gets the evening sun) is not as level and you will need ramps. Each pitch seemed to have electric points, but we do not use hookup.
The site offers full recycling including a bin for BBQ ashes, plenty of fresh water points and chemical waste point too
The facilities block offers washing up and a couple of benches outside to relax and take in the views whilst the other half is washing up! One large wet room with toilet, shower and sink and a separate toilet and separate shower are available for campers to use. All are kept very clean and well stocked and are power showers, no pressing of a button to keep the water coming.
There is a another field that is available for the dogs to be let off and have a run, this is fully fenced and safe for the dogs. Dogs must be on leads at all times whilst on the main site.
A large open space means this site is ideal for families too with lots of space for children to play.
Walking is in abundance from the site and we walked down to the Royal Oak in Stofold as their website presence said they opened at midday, we were disappointed to arrive at 15:15 and the pub was shut until 16:00. Oh well, it was a nice walk, just a shame we couldn't get a pint!
Walking in the other direction brings you to the gorgeous Ninesprings on the outskirts of the town of Yeovil. This is a beautiful country park and has a large lake alongside the River Yeo and a number of streams, springs and waterfalls that flow down through an enchanting wooded valley.
Yeovil is easily accessible and has all the shops you need, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. We did not go in to Yeovil so no idea what the actual town is like.
Plenty to do in the area and lots of opportunities for walking.

Booked on for a one night stopover before moving to the Abbey Hill Steam Rally close by
Very spacious field and toilet in a pod. Access a bit tight if you come in the wrong way like I did.
All in all a pleasent little site.
