The last two reviews are spot on in my opinion. Will just add that we could not connect to Astra satellite from the flat plane behind the pool due to trees, and the free WiFi by the reception doesn’t work. 02 mb speed!
The paid WiFi is restricted to 3 hours per day and costs €20 for the privilege per week.
However the nearby site at Boisseron - Gajan is cheaper and much better.
However friendly helpful staff at Les Chênes and nice sanitaires.

A small calm site, which is in two parts; the meadow area which is flat and grassy and the more shaded, sloping area under the oak trees. The soil is very stony and rock pegs are sensible. Electric points are abundant and there are number of water points.
The modern, somewhat open, sanitaires have very good, hot showers, but in the washing up areas, the water is less hot.
There is a swimming pool with umpteen sun loungers and a small children's play area with trampoline and bouncy castle.
Basic groceries can be obtained at reception, as well ordering bread.
The town of Junas seems to be bereft of any charm or shops, but enables you to get onto the “Voie Verte” which takes you into Sommieres or as far as Nimes. The surface is smooth and without potholes!
In Sommieres it is worth wandering around the old town which has Roman buildings, still in use, below mediaeval buildings and a third tier of modern buildings.
There is a large Intermarche and fuel outlet, along with Netto and Lidl. For the alcoholics amongst you the cooperative wine outlet sells very good, very cheap wine in bulk.
A good site for a stopover or a few days, but not for long term.

Camping les Chênes is a very nice, peaceful little site positioned at the end of short lane about half a mile below the village Junas. At the lower end of the site there are level grassy pitches but with limited shade (and it can get very hot in this area!), whilst at the upper end of the site most of the pitches have a slight slope and are on a gravel surface (so steel pegs needed for awnings), but have adequate shade beneath olive trees and small oaks. There are plenty of water points and all pitches have access to electricity (10 amp).
The toilet block is modern having been refurbished in 2012. However, as is common on many sites in France, paper is not supplied in the loos. There are two washing machines in the toilet block which are coin operated (no tokens) and which automatically dispense washing powder. There is an excellent swimming pool, a boules pitch and play facilities for children. The reception block sells wine and a few groceries, etc, but also operates a take-away service offering a variety of simple meals. Bread can be ordered for next morning collection. The owners are a friendly and helpful couple and at least one of them always seems to be on hand.
Having described this site as pleasant and well managed - and it really is - the outstanding aspect of this site is the location. About two miles away is the lovely old town of Sommières positioned on the river Vidourle. It has narrow cobbled streets, a hill top chateau and an excellent Saturday market which includes a hundred or more brocante stalls stretching along the river bank.
About a twenty minute drive to the east of the site is the old Roman city of Nîmes and a similar distance to the south west is the lovely city of Montpellier. Directly south, on the western edge of the Camargue, is the interesting old walled town of Aigues-Morte. Also within comfortable driving distance is the wonderful Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard and, a little further, the famous city of Avignon. Add to these numerous villages worth exploring, there is much to make a stay of a week or two at Les Chênes a memorable experience. Just a few words of warning - to gain access to this site needs a little careful planning. From whichever direction you travel there will be some section of the road that is quite narrow. We came along the D40 from the Nîmes direction and took the first left turn into Junas. Driving with care was OK but the village streets are very narrow.
