 A beautiful peaceful site in parkland type grounds next to the river. We picked the site as between 2 stages of Le Tour de France & were surprised how quiet it was the first week in July. The main reception is noted as closed upto 3pm but they opened for us arriving at 1pm.
The main building houses the bar & small restaurant with a terraced area don't rely on this being open as I think it depends on how busy the site is. They also have rooms and a couple if Gites for rent.
There is a lovely pool although if the site is busy this maybe a bit small. A children's play area, table tennis table and bouIe pitch are all set in lots of open space away from the pitches and mobile homes. 2 large toilet blocks with laundry facilities.
A variety of grassed pitch sizes with electric for tents and caravans all with clipped hedges, some shaded some full sun. The pitches are set apart from the mobile homes which are spaciously set out which is unusual but lovely and enhances the impression of the site. There appears to be a gravelled Aire for motor homes too, both this and the main site is barrier controlled.
The small quiet village of Oust has a bread shop, a little bar and small hotel, we went in for a drink, got the impression that didn't happen often but it wasn't a problem and we sat in their lovely rear garden where people were dining. There is a small supermarket & petrol station on the outskirts of the village. A lovely area for cycling, walking, fishing and even skiing in the winter or just relaxing!
We would definitely return.
