Conveniently just up the road from Fort Augustus and off the road that runs along Loch Ness.
A great camp site right next to a forest trail.
I liked the open camp fire and picnic bench area which brought the visitors together.
The w/c and shower facilities were clean and tidy.
Definitely will be coming back to stay.

2 of us on the Great Glen Way, with small tents.
Very convenient for the path, Fort Augustus now has very few options for camping, so this is well sited.
It is a bit like camping in someones garden, as it backs onto the owners house, but not a problem. Toilets and showers reasonable, prices fair.
The site is on a slope, but there are enough flat bits to pitch easily.

This is a small quiet campsite with direct access to the Great Glen Way. It's dog friendly.
The shower room is a decent size and the water was nice and hot with a bit of power about it!
This was a return visit and the owners have worked hard to be COVID compliant and allow access for those without their own facilities which is much appreciated.

This was a lovely campsite that welcomed us and our 2 Jack Russels. The toilets etc were perfectly adequate for our needs. It was nice and quiet and we could use our own fire pit. There is a lovely little place a few miles away called Fort Augustus which has everything you need shop, chip shop and a garage. The views are lovely all around. We would definitely recommend this place to other campers.

This is a small well kept tent only campsite, with car parking for small number of cars. The site has two with Geodome accommodation to hire, as well as a tent. It is modern well kept and clean. Also there is a small shop it is just of Great Glen Way, not on OS GB maps yet. Level pitches and right next to Loch Ness. Reception area doubles up as 'relax' room similar to ones in USA. Very nice chap runs site.
There is also a communal fire pit. We would recommend. The road outside is the busy A82, so you will not be able to walk on that. There is a path to the village via forest track

Greeted by Friendly site owner. However we thought that 14pounds for a night for a tent with no ehu a little on the pricey side especially as we had to leave the car in the car park and carry our things up to the site.
There was a large communal camp fire pit in the middle of the site which I think like marmite you will either love it or hate it. From our point of view we were looking for quite camping to get away from city life so it didn't work for us. It just encouraged more noise with drinking and talking and this went on passed the usual 11. 00 am quite time. I would like to think that the owner were keeping a discreet watch on things in case anything got out of hand or just to remind them that the other campers might want to sleep.
The two shower/toilet rooms were spotless however this meant queues could quickly build up in the morning however I think there are plans for a new block in 2015 Finally you will need to bring plenty of midge repellent. Because of the communal camp fire we are giving a low score however a younger camper may have a different view point.

A great 'get away from it all' site. The field is on a slope so it was a bit difficult to find a level pitch. There is only one toilet and shower so if the site was busy it may result in a queue, but the facilities are 1st class, warm and clean. There is no children's playground, we didn't have the kids with us this time so not an issue for us.
A short walk, directly from the campsite, along the Great Glen Way led to a viewing point with a spectacular view of Loch Ness.
Fort Augustus is a lovely small town about 5 miles away which can also be reached by walking along the Great Glen Way from the site.
Remember on your midge repellent and you will love this quiet site!
