Just got back from Ter Spelt in Holland (nr Eindhoven), absolutely incredible site.
Could not recommend the place more, especially for families but not exclusively - we are booked up next year too. There are 3-4 eateries, a great shop, superb launderette, 3 x lakes, the indoor swimming facilities, mini golf (really good one), great cycle routes through the woods all around, 2 x cycle tracks on site (one for BMXs and the other for mountain bikes), and a ton of activities too. Utterly superb.

What a fantastic site, stayed for 15 nights, very few English, mainly Dutch. Found this site by accident and it looked to good to be true. However it was perfect. 3 lakes, two with beaches, one for fishing. Facilities are clean, pitches are generous, choice of looking over lakes or having a play park close buy, so worth selecting what suits. Lots of activities for kids, pretty much everything is free. So good we have booked for next year but already many of the pitches are booked up, 12 months in advance, which reflects how good this site is.

I reviewed this site last year, having spent a week there in a trailer tent during a tour of the Netherlands. We had the chance to go back for a week this year but decided to hire a static. We had a 4 berth 'Lounge Cabin' at a total cost of £256 for 3 adults. The accommodation was spotlessly clean on our arrival and comprehensively fitted out right down to an electric coffee maker. The only things I would take another time is a toaster and a slow cooker as Dutch accommodation has only hobs and microwaves! There were 10 cabins in the field we were in, each with wooden decking and a canopy. There was a hammock and a bbq supplied with each cabin. The whole site was fairly quiet during the week but, in spite of it being towards the end of the season, the grounds were being tended and looked great. We ate in both restaurants and the meals were good and reasonably priced.

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of June. The cost for 2 people with ACSI card was 118 euros including electricity and tourist tax.
The site is divided into small hedged areas and was reasonably quiet at night. Some of the areas had small play areas for small children. The reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The facilities were kept very clean and there were several shower blocks so never too far away. There are two laundry rooms. There is a well stocked shop. There are three lakes, two with sandy beaches. One has water slides and a fountain. Another is for fishing, pedaloes and there is a zip wire and jumping platform. The third is used for water sports.
The indoor swimming complex is excellent. The pool is only small but there is a wonderful children's covered play area which would keep the children well occupied if the weather is bad - we had a heatwave while we were there so made full use of the pool. Next to the pool is a restaurant - looked very good but we didn't eat there. There is also a small café/takeaway which we did use - bit like McDs but reasonably priced and the food was fine. There were lots of organised activities for the children.
The Belgian border is only a short distance away from the site and we found that Petrol was much cheaper there. We spent a day in Turnhout which is a pretty town
We loved this site and will definitely return.
