This is a simple campsite with a clean toilet and handbasin with separate outside tap for drinking water. Perfect if that is all you want which it was for our family. The surroundings is why we visit the peak district! The field does slope and it can be hard to get off the site, however with the right speed it is easy to get out and the owner was there to make sure we were OK. There are around 6 flat pitches at the top left hand side of the field. The owner Ian and the neighbours were very helpful. Great value for money.

Great views. Very steep sloping site. Narrow approach road. The levelled bits aren't big. Told by the owner there might be an issue with traction on site since there had been recent rain. There was no way I could get off this site, luckily the other campers had FWDs who dragged us off, literally, I had no traction whatsoever. Great guy running the site, and does mention the issue of skidding when booking, maybe had been wetter than we thought.
