Lovely Spacious grass pitches. Park as you like. Pitches usually allocated but all are fine.
There are 3 water posts spread between the 6 pitches so bring a splitter for full water hook-up. Recycling bins available. 16 amp EHU.
Site is very quiet tucked away behind owners house in small village. Initial entrance needs care and village a couple of miles down country roads.
There is a toilet but no shower. Local places of interest easily accessible and area good for cycling.
Nearest shops in Halesworth (5 miles). Community owned pub within 50 yds.
Would stay again if in area. £20 p. N. For 2 adults.

We were looking for a site close to Southwold for a couple of nights that was quiet and peaceful but not to far away. The Rookery fitted the bill perfectly.
The owners are lovely people and keep the CL in great condition while working seemingly tirelessly around the farm all day.
Each pitch has water and an electric hook-up and is flat. Access is by a relatively narrow drive but we had no problems with it. Keep your eyes peeled for it though, in case you overshoot like we did!
The local pub is a short walk away, as is the local shop.
We can't comment on the Pub food as they weren't serving on the night we went, so it's best to check or book in advance if you need a meal, but the beer was fine.
The toilet facilities are minimal (toilet and wash hand basin with cold water only), so if you are planning on more than a couple of days stay, you will need your own on board facilities.
As campervanners who don't like large sites, we would certainly consider staying longer if there was hot water and perhaps some simple dish washing facilities.
However, I guess most site users are caravanners and don't need these.

My husband and I stayed at the Rookery Farm site for two weeks and absolutely loved it! I was recovering from an operation and needed somewhere quiet and peaceful to recuperate - it was just perfect! It is a nice, level, well maintained area with a toilet on site and a freshwater tap very conveniently placed at each electricity bollard. There is a railway line nearby but the trains run quite slowly and we hardly noticed them at all during our stay, it certainly wasn't intrusive. In fact this is one of the quietest sites we have stayed on, at night all we could hear were the tawny owls hooting! The Racehorse pub (good food) is just a few minutes walk away, as is the local store. The site owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful - this lovely site comes highly recommended by us - we will most certainly return again in the future!

Stayed at this site for 3 days and must complement the owner for a great CL site with the added bonus of having water and electric on each pole. The site is all grass and level. It is a must return for the diary. Good little general store just a couple of minutes walk. Very friendly and clean site. Honey and fresh eggs are a must, sold on site.
There is a bus stop just outside the site taking you into Beccles.
