Not much changed since my last review. Sanitaires not changed. Could be kept cleaner. A bit worse than last year but ok & don’t be put off because otherwise site is excellent.
Touring pitches are among trees & quite shady which was welcome at this stay because weather was very hot. 37deg on a couple of days so good weather for naturism !
We were there over a weekend of hot weather so site became very crowded indeed with local day visitors. Campsite was busy as well but there were always pitches available so no need to book imo. Just turn up is what we always do. Under 19€ pn with ACSI card.
Best feature is pool very large with plenty of sunbeds available although they quickly get taken up when busy. So well worth a visit. We do most years.

This year we stopped here towards the end of our French trip. 3 nights before heading towards home. Weather was reasonable sunny & around 21deg.
Touring area was quite busy mostly with users stopping just 1 or 2 nights as it is in a good place for a stopover. It was also busy with locals over a warm weekend. Site has a nice Parisian feel about it. Good also if you want to visit Paris as there is a station about 2miles away with regular trains into city.
Main sanitaires are getting a bit tired. They are ok’ish with plenty of hot water. Could be kept cleaner but not a deal breaker though. Large outdoor pool is good with plenty of sunbeds provided & there are sauna & hammam which is good value for the 19€ pn ACSI rate outside Jul/Aug.
Adjacent to pool there is a restaurant & snack bar which is ok but being Paris area they do like it if you at least try to speak French.
Site is in a rural area but there are Lidl Aldi & Carrefour supermarkets within about a 20min drive another good point is that on the day you leave you can actually stay on your pitch until evening for no extra charge if that is convenient for you.

We visit this site for a short while most years. We stopped for a week this year because the weathers was fantastic. Hot sun & 30deg all week.
Camping area is very shaded so good when hot but not when it is cooler. Sanitary facilities are reasonable & cleaned just about adequately.
Location is south of Paris & with a railway station less than 10mins drive away it is good if you want to visit the city. Road access is quite narrow once you are near the site but well signposted from St Cheron.
Price is realistic at peak period & ACSI card is accepted off peak times. Site is not open for camping all year though. Only until end of Sept.
The campsite is only a small part of the site & many site users are local cabin owners so on warm weekends site has a very Parisian feel which is nice. Pool & restaurant are at front of camping area so very convenient.

We had an eight day stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a nice setting then this is one for you. Lots of people seem to use this a one night stop on their way elsewhere but its worth more than that. We loved the 'sandy beach' in the bar area. As someone else has mentioned large pool with loads of loungers. The toilets and washing up areas nice and clean though, typically for France, you need to check for the ones with seats and it is worth having a universal plug for basins and sinks. Friendly staff who do speak English. One last point is that the supermarket in St Cheron is small but reasonably well stocked. Many of the other hypermarkets nearby have 2m barriers.
Check satnav as ours put us onto the Peripherique just in time for the Paris rush hour
We will be back

First time at Heliomonde for about 10yrs & it's still good. Huge site with loads of private bungalows but camping area is flat & easy on easy off with ehu points on each pitch with no long leads required. Near to main N20 so popular overnight stop but worth a few days stay if weather is good. Roads in are quite narrow but no real problem.
Camping area is quite well wooded & shaded so choose pitch carefully if you like a bit of morning & evening sun. Shower/toilet block is clean & modern with plenty of hot water. Good free wifi that works inside caravan if you pitch fairly near to pool/restaurant. Pool is heated with plenty of sun beds available.
Site is quite remote. Nearest large supermarkets about 6miles away in several local towns. ACSI cards accepted outside peak season.

An excellent campsite, best for overnight or short stays as there is the pool and spa, but not a lot else, and you would not want to eat every night in the restaurant, menu a bit all the same. No problem not having a French nudist licence. To find the site follow the signs for the other one, they are next door to each other.

We have lost count of the number of times we have camped at Heliomonde so thought we ought to leave a review. This naturist site is a useful stop over on the long drive south from the ferry ports or vice versa. Many others are of the same opinion judging by the number of other English, Dutch and German visitors who stay one or two nights.
The site is easy to find and well signposted from St Cheron 2 miles away. There is a large textile site next to Heliomonde. The Reception is manned all day and once booked in number plate recognition cameras allow you to pass easily through the entrance/exit barriers.
If you head straight on from the entrance you drop down into a shallow valley where there is a children's area and also a few private chalets. On the left side of the valley are dozens more private chalets but as the site is so large and heavily wooded it difficult to judge how many.
Tourists are more interested on turning right at the entrance as this opens out to a large flat camping area for tents, caravans and mobile homes. There are plenty of water points and electric hook-ups. There are two toilet/shower blocks one at each end of the camping area which are regularly cleaned and have free hot water. Around the camping area and at the far end are more private chalets and also ones to rent plus some permanent tents for hire.
Activities are based at the end of the camping area and consist of a beautiful 25m outdoor heated pool and sun bathing area. There is a sauna and tennis courts. Next to the pool is a small café and restaurant serving evening meals plus take away food, pizzas, ice cream. There is entertainment some weekends outside the restaurant. Fresh bread, etc can be ordered for collection in the morning. There is no shop but St Cheron has plenty of small shops and a supermarket.
Around the restaurant is free Wi-Fi so if you camp within about 40m of it you will get a signal in your tent/caravan.
As mentioned before this is a large site and the nature trail through the woods takes about 45mins. We have often pre-booked the site online but it is possible just to arrive at the gate.
Heliomonde is an ideal base for a holiday in its own right. St Cheron has a railway station and you can take one of the frequent trains into Paris. If you buy a Rover Ticket it will cover you for the river boats, buses and underground in Paris.
Versailles is also within easy reach. Plan to get there very early and spend all day. Dourdan, Etampes and the surrounding countryside are all worth a visit.
We do have one very small moan. Once you pitch your tent or park up your caravan you are told to put your car in the car park near the Reception. We have no problem with that rule but it is not enforced. The worse culprits seemed to be the caravan owners who we consider less in need of their car next to them as the people in tents. The site is very free and easy so it is a shame that one of the few rules is ignored by some.
Next year???? We'll be back for a few nights to break the journey as usual
