We stayed at this site in the Brixen valley in early July and it is superb ! The site is located within a couple of miles of the motorway and the town of Worgl, providing easy road access to the rest of the Tyrol, and to serious shopping if required. The beautiful small village of Itter with it's rose walk lies at the top of the hill above the campsite and is a must for an afternoon or evening walk. Salzburg can be reached by car within about 90 minutes, and Innsbruck and Kitzbuhel in under 45.

The site is in a small valley, and has been terraced to accommodate a mixture of holiday chalets and touring and seasonal pitches in a mix of forest and meadow. We pre-booked and were reserved an excellent terraced pitch looking down the valley and across the campsite. All of the terraced pitches are accessed via tarmac roads, and are on level, well-drained grass, with electric hook-up, and a water and drainage point shared with an adjacent pitch. Our pitch was a very good size, and we were able to have the caravan and awning facing south down the valley, with ample room in front for table and chairs outdoors, and still have room for the car to be parked out of sight on the pitch.

For children there is an amazing playground area carefully sited away from the most densely-populated part of the site, and of course the site has it's own well-maintained outdoor pool.

Caravan and camping pitches closer to the pool and play area were smaller, but still of a reasonable size.

We used the on-site bar and restaurant on a couple of occasions, and the food and drink were excellent, and reasonably priced. This is a great all-round site in every way, but the most talked about feature was definitely the services block. The heated washrooms or 'washland' as the owners have chosen to name them are simply the best campsite facilities you will come across. Consisting of individual cubicles containing showers and basins, some family cubicles with double basins and at least one with a bath. All of the fittings are of the highest quality and the place is furnished with plants, and plenty of mirrors and shaving and hairdryer points. All were spotless throughout our stay, and more akin to a 5-star hotel than a camp site!

Within the same building are excellent laundry facilities including washers, driers, a drying room, and an ironing board.

There is a (very !) small kiosk shop where some basics can be bought, and fresh bread can be ordered for the next day. Supermarkets can be found within 1. 5 miles in Hopfgarten.

Unfortunately the site requires a deposit for prior booking but does not accept payment by card, meaning that we had to arrange a money transfer via our bank for the deposit, which was a little inconvenient, but this did not detract from an excellent stay.

The whole site is beautifully looked after by the Ager family who are most friendly and helpful (and speak excellent english), and obviously enjoy making their site a success.

We will be going back.
