 What a disappointment, ACSI entry did not say in middle of housing estate, narrow entry etc. Tired toilet blocks, generally scruffy appearance, electrics hidden in bushes on pitch behind ours, had to go across neighbours pitch to connect.
Listed as having a bar and entertainment room, didn't see either. Pool very popular. Very narrow entry barrier.

We booked this site based on the fact that it is the nearest to Monets garden. I booked via email and asked for a price, the total price quoted and the breakdown did not add up so I assumed the higher of the two was correct. The price on arrival was more than quoted but a few euros. It is a lovely site with nice size pitched, marked, and grass with lots of trees and bushes. There is no shop, although there are shops in the village just ten minutes walk away, that's if you go left at the site gates. Go right and it will take you a lot longer. No information was given about local shops, directions etc. The big disappointment was the facilities. The showers are individual with external locked doors, which is OK, but they are very dated and not very clean, the shower curtains are too long and have mould on them. The site was very quiet with very few units on. Not a bad price at 18€ for two people and electrics but would not use again due to the condition of the facilities. Would suggest new shower curtains would make a vast difference.

This is the nearest site we've yet found for visits to Monet's garden at Giverny - it's just up the hill from Vernon towards the motorway, and signposted from that main road in both directions. The last hundred metres is steepish downhill, and the camp site is a bit tilted (grass rather than hard standing) but most outfits will get in and out without trouble.
We arrived at lunchtime and were told to pitch wherever we liked and book in later. That left us without the necessary keys for the toilet block, but other residents willingly unlocked for us. It's all neat, clean and tidy - no shop, no pool, no food or drink - just a plain, simple campsite, with good toilets and showers, and electric hook ups of course - ideal for the Giverny garden visit, but be prepared for queues and crowds there if you arrive there mid afternoon in June. I doubt if you'd ever really need to book the camp site but you can if you wish, and you can book Giverny garden tickets too if you wish to cut out the queues there. All in all a little campsite that's ideal for those visits, and priced at 14 euros for two people (2013)
