Very reasonably priced old-school muni. Huge pitches, lots of trees (Someone arrived in a converted coach towing a Mercedes while we were there. ).
Wi-fi only covers the area round the accuiel. Sanitaires all kept very clean, seats, loo-roll, hand wash and paper towels provided.
You can order bread, croissants etc. It's a ten minute walk into town which has a couple of small supermarkets, traiteur etc, small market two mornings/week. Larger supermarkets 10 minutes drive away.
St Anne d'Auray is worth a visit in its own right and is handy for Vannes, Auray, Carnac, Guerande etc.

We were here in late June 2018 and found only six other outfits on site, and being anti social we gave ourselves a hundred metres from anyone else. Because so few people are using the site the staffing has been cut back and a lady now comes in just for a couple of hours each morning and evening - if the office is closed when you arrive you can drive in unchecked and sign in later when she she arrives. We paid 14 euros for car, Caravan, EHU, and two people, but there may be a supplement for large twin axle vans.
The area is as described in the earlier review - a large expanse of grass parkland. There are no separate hedged pitches, no serviced pitches and no hard standings. Pitches are marked by flat numbered stones set into the grass but people don't notice them and pitch as and where they wish. The whole area is well maintained by council workmen who cut grass, prune trees and take away garbage. The toilets, washrooms and showers were spotless. It is a traditional campsite for caravans and tents. There is free wifi now, but only in the area in and around the reception area, and it's pretty feeble. Two motorhomes did come in overnight while we were there, but there are no special facilities for them and nowhere to empty their waste water tanks.
Because of the switch to motorhomes in France sites like this are closing all over France and I asked the lady in charge whether she thought this one would close too. She said she had heard no plans about closing and hoped not.

It was late July 2013, the sun was shining, so we stayed for a few days in southern Brittany rather than driving on. We knew that the sites near the coast around Carnac would be full and charging around 40 euros a night, so we stayed a few miles inland, without booking and at about a third of that price.
This is a big municipal site, open grassland with scattered trees - pitch where you like between this tree and that one, and those of you who plead for big pitches would have no complaints here. Unusually for a municipal site the office was staffed non stop from 7am. To 9pm. - in this case by teams of students who were well trained, so the toilets were clean, the electricity worked, the water was hot, and everything was neat and tidy.
There is a play area for small children and room for older ones to play football and tennis, but there were no children here - all at the Carnac sites I suppose. The down side of the site is that it doesn't have the usual wi-fi, the baker doesn't call in the morning, and for those of you with really big caravans the price list at the gate warns of an extra 5 euros charge.
But the plus points are the space, the lack of crowding, and the fact that one can drive easily to Vannes, to Auray, and to the quieter beaches down by Locmariaquer. For those of you who want a quiet camp site and don't mind being a little way inland, we recommend this one.
