 We spent just one night here as a stopover, in September 2016, on the recommendation of another UKCS member.
Firstly, let me mention the friendly, helpful manager, who let us choose a pitch and then go to see him once we'd pitched-up.
It's an excellent municipal and offers fantastic value for money (we paid 9. 90 euros, including taxes but without EHU, for 2 adults. We checked and, even in peak season, this would rise to just 12. 50, plus 3 euros for EHU).
The sanitary block is superb.
Le Poët-Laval is not too far from the autoroute so this is potentially a very good stopover site.
A river runs along the back of the site and there is a grassed picnic area with communal barbecues.
There's a small pool on site.
We will most definitely return.

We used this site as a stop over on our way to Spain and planned to visit the village but after traffic delays didn't have time. My wife used the new shower block and said 'they were the best showers ever'. Not sure there is a lot to do in the area but as a stop over it was a good friendly clean country site. Good Super you and fuel station near by.

The site is a gently sloping parkland with a great variety of shade and open sun pitches. The pitches are large and all very near electricity (6amps) and water.
The sanitary blocks of which there 2 are extremely modern but sparse. ( In September only one unisex shower was available in each block).
Whilst the site advertises being quiet there is quiet a bit of traffic noise from the adjacent D540.
There is a large swimming pool and tennis courts on site for the use of campers.
About 3 kms along D540 towards Dieulefit, is a SuperU with petrol.
Outside the campsite is a bus stop for the Ligne 35 which goes between Montelimar and Valreas, about every 45 mins.
The ancient town of Le Poet Laval is a must visit. In walking distance, or a very short drive for wimps.
If you are feeling posh, have lunch in the Hospitaliers restaurant up by the Chateau.
The site is worth a stop over or as a base for touring Drome.
We probably wouldn't return as there many other similar sites in the area.
Rate for 2 people+unit+ehu was 12. 50 euros

The review from SG Thomas is certainly factually correct, though his final conclusion is more lukewarm than ours. Opinions do differ!
We loved the efficiency of the way the site was run - a list on the office door in the lunch break of which pitches were reserved over the following fortnight, and the invitation to drive in and choose one of the others. We liked the fact that a part of the site was left free of tents and caravans - the wide area alongside the river - where children could run and play. We liked the mixture of sun and shade, vital during high summer when we there. The cleanliness and modernity of the new toilet block impressed us, and the helpful nature of the management.
And finally of course, a cost of only 12. 50 euros for a site with those facilities, and a swimming pool, and free (sketchy) wi -fi was one of our best bargains of the year.
We will be going back !
