It was a very wet visit to Garden End Farm but Rhoda found us a lovely spot of hardstanding to park up on the edge of the field.
Surrounded by views, fruit trees and the farm its an idyllic place to stay to be in close proximity to the numerous bird reserves, Glastonbury, Wells and Cheddar.
The individual toilets and showers are clean, spacious and have hot water.
Milk, mix your own milkshake, cheese and various jams are available from the quirky machine at the top of the drive!
A bit of road and farming noise but all part of the experience of being in the country and hearing the cows.
Such a lovely, well kept site with plenty to recommend.

Just returned from 5 nights on this lovely site. It cost us £21 a night with EHU and as we have a very large tent I was concerned about the pitch size but we had plenty space around us.
Toilet blocks are very clean and showers were warm and powerful. One of the best things about this site is it's set on a dairy farm and you are able to buy fresh milk and other local produce from machines set at the top of the site. They also provide syrup to make milkshakes which my 11 year old enjoyed every day.
Another highlight is being able to buy a breakfast at £6 and it being brought to your tent which I have to say was lovely and we had it 3 days out of the 5 as it was so nice.
I have to say the owners can't do enough for you and Rhoda is probably the nicest owner of a site I've ever met.
If you want a lively site this is not for you but a truly family run site yes I would recommend it and can't wait to return

Lovely area, and a lovely greeting from the lovely owner.
A hot day when we arrived, we were swiftly supplied with a jug of ice cold cranberry juice, fantastic!
Set in an old orchard, the site is reasonably flat, but slopes up towards the road. This is no problem.
Grass on the longish side, but this was peak grass growing season after all! We did feel that some cut grass could have been picked up as our camper seemed to rapidly fill with hay.
I think only extremely fussy campers may be concerned about this. We just brushed up the van and awning on a regular basis.
Clean facilities, with a nice warm shower.
Its clear the owner is keen to make this site a pleasant one, and she is succeeding!
If you object to farm noises, and farm smells, look elsewhere.
If you want bars, games rooms, shops, disco's then again, look elsewhere.
We love this area, and although its not far from home, we will without doubt, visit this particular site again.

We stayed at the site for 4 nights on our way to Devon having travelled from Lancashire. We were greeted by the owner, a charming lady who gave us welcoming cakes and cups of tea. The sight was neatly laid out, a well cut field with electric hook up which was also level which assisted my disabled wife. We were the only unit there so peace and quiet how we like it. The working farm was not a hindrance and the area was spotless including the toilet and shower area. Village short distance including a pub which again was not quiet and no noise from the passing traffic. Near to Wells and Bristol on good class roads. Visited a number of areas including the Bookbarn. Would recommend and would book again

Visited - July/Aug 2011.
We were greeted by the owner, who is lovely, who showed us to our pitch and then let us settle in, she then bought us homemade cake and hot drinks which was a lovely surprise.
The site is pretty much flat all over and set around the edges so that the centre is for children to play, there is a rope swing too.
This is a working farm so if you don't like being woken to cows being milked then this isn't the site for you. After a couple nights though you settle into the farm noises and it doesn't bother you. The farm dog comes and says hi and likes to play ball too.
There is 2 toilets and 2 showers. Potwash is indoors.
Good base for seeing Somerset.
Would recommend.
