The site was decidedly quieter than when we visited last July when we arrived for our 3-night stay, but soon the pitches filled up as we had been told a 24-hour cycling endurance race was taking place over the weekend. Having emailed ahead to book, we found our pitch in an area with an open aspect but was rather scruffy - rutted terrain, unmown vegetation, EHU junction box almost falling off the post. Since our last stay, several camping pitches have now been replaced with chalets, some still under construction near us.
The communal areas (pool, restaurant, shop) continue to be maintained to a high standard, but the shower/loo/washing up block would benefit from a refurb. Perhaps the self catering rentals are more profitable than the camping?
We enjoyed our stroll around the medieval district of Finalborgo, and a bike ride into the hills from the site. Not sure that we would return for the standard of facilities overall, including Internet which we could not receive at our pitch. Although an ACSI site, the discount did not apply for the period of our stay, so fees quite expensive.

We chose this area of Liguria as an alternative to the Cinque Terre as the sites we had contacted were full at this popular time of the year. (We'll do it off season another time. )
Our pitch was not good being rutted, uneven, small, trees encroaching on the pitching area, unpleasant smell (cat pee?) at times, but we needed somewhere to break our journey for four nights. Tight, narrow access for car/caravan outfits too - we were not warned about this as we checked in and ended up unhitching and negotiating the tight bend using the motor-mover. We were not impressed.
It was not all bad, however, since the site provides a free shuttle bus to and from Finale Liguria which is quite a pleasant town on the Italian riviera compared to the tourist hotspots further along the coast. Once you go inland, you are soon in pleasant hillside villages. Had a good bike ride.
Noli, a stylish village founded on the fishing industry, was a day out. Nice promenade and had a fantastic lunch overlooking the bay, with the restaurant accessed by a lift. Expensive, but a memorable treat.
The site pool/restaurant/bar/shop area is very clean. Families seemed to like the entertainment programme which was run by enthusiastic staff. Toilets and showers were clean too.
Not a site for those seeking peace and quiet, but if they could improve the quality and size of the pitches, we may consider as a short stay for a different atmosphere.
