 We stayed at this site in July this year for a few nights but have previously stayed both in a caravan and motorhome. The site is very convenient for the beach being only a short walk through the woods, the small town is about 20 mins walk away, either along the cycle path or along the beach, we were there during the Festival a tout Vent with Kite displays and entertainment for the weekend. It is a typical municipal site with clean but basic facilities and friendly mainly French speaking staff. We don't have children, but there are play areas and clubs on site and the beach has lifeguard stations.

We have just returned from this site having stayed previously a couple of years ago and noticed that there had been a number of improvements to what is a typical municipal site. Pitches are mainly in the trees and shaded, facilities are clean and modern (although there are still some old style French loos) and the staff are helpful and friendly, although non English speaking. Location is great with sandy paths through the woods to the beach about 400m away, and about 15-20 minute walk into the small town. Bring a bike as there a well marked cycle paths.
The previous reviewer mentioned security, but we never felt unsafe, although there were security guards in the evening and the gates were locked at night so perhaps there have been problems in the past.

This is a large well-equipped municipal in a great location - on the edge of the little seaside resort of Notre Dame de Monts near shops etc, and just 400m from the beach, which is reached by sandy paths through pine woods.
This summer was the third time we visited this site but unfortunately will be the last. One night the awning of our tent was slashed, someone climbed in and then slashed our sleeping pods. They managed to pull out clothing that contained my husband's wallet before we were woken up. Luckily the wallet, which we later found dumped near by, only contained a small amount of cash and credit cards that were easily cancelled but it made us feel very vulnerable for the rest of our time there. Especially when we discovered that our neighbours (in a caravan) had been broken into the week before, and that there had been other instances of bikes and even a fridge being stolen. The site claims to have 'night security' but it's obviously not very effective.
We won't be back.
