A great, peaceful campsite with all the facilities required.
Good sized pitches in a tranquil environment.
We will certainly return next year for the Falmouth International Shanty Festival. Watch us there, the Barnacle Buoys!

This is going to be a difficult one to rate because the views are amazing looking down on Falmouth bay and the owner is a really lovely guy who is very accommodating however.
Lets start with the positives, the site is cheap (£12. 50) for our large tent, the location is good however the bus stop is a fair walk away down the lane adjacent to the site and into the village, where there is also a shop and a pub.
Its clear that this had previously been a caravan site with no facilities apart from a rather battered single toilet housed in a shed in a corner of the field and the current owner is in the process of building 2 showers (only one completed and working at the time of our visit) which are essentially concrete sheds with corrugated roofs and no heating/drainage (I was ankle deep in water). Both the single toilet and shower are unisex and the toilet does not flush after each visit because if you wash your hands (in the dirty sink that only has a trickle of cold water running to it) it stops the cistern from filling.
There are no washing up facilities and the bins by the end of the 2nd night were overflowing.
We were booked on for 7 nights but had to cut our visit short: would we go back? No because of the lack of facilities however this is personal choice and anyone who is willing to cope with what this site has to offer is going to get beautiful views for a very cheap price.

A great little site - it has new and spotless facilities; it is quiet and pleasant with good views; it is handy for Falmouth (bus-stop at site entrance) and is walking distance to Swanpool beach; the owners are really helpful and lovely! It is flat with grass and hard-standing. Free showers. Very peaceful but not remote.

Rained all day every day but not the fault of this site, which was great. Very reasonable price and, being on high ground gives fantastic views. Site facilities are excellent and they are well managed. Water supplies are easy to access and the hook up power is ample. Site management, which can make or break a camping experience, is excellent. We would recommend this site.
