 There was nothing to dislike, It's the perfect place to either explore, exercise or just relax.
We wanted to stay extra nights.
But due to it's popularity sadly we were not able to.

Lovely site right on the beach.
Toilets and showers immaculate.
Staff are very helpful.
Facilities for emptying black and grey water, plus electricity and water on each individual plot.
There is a swimming pool, bar and restaurant on site. Shop only open in high season.
There are a couple of supermarkets close by, along with bars and restaurants.
You can walk or cycle along the promenade to Puerto Mazarron.
Would definitely recommend.

Arrived to a good reception in English, allowed to pick our own pitch from a plan with available pitches shown.
Most of the pitches were quite big and some overlooked the sea. Each pitch has a net sunshade above and hedges separating. Water and drain on our pitch. EHU was 7kwh free/day.
Toilets and showers were very clean as was the wash up area. The site is very cleanly kept with beautifully artistically trimmed bushes, probably one of the best kept sites we have used.
Gate to the prom and beach plus outdoor pool. About 2ml walk into Mazarron. Bar and shop not open while we were there but there was a Spar shop and several bars/restaurants near by.
Very quiet while we were there as was Mazarron. Great value using ACSI discount.

Following on from our previous review, we did stay for another 2 weeks in June.
The site was busier - especially at weekends and on a Murcia Holiday, too busy for us. The pool/bar was busy and the toilet block, near our pitch, could have done with a 2nd cleaning during the busiest time of use.
A fish van visits on certain days.
We will return again, if not this year, next year when the site is quieter!

We bought our second-hand caravan and motor-mover September 2015, at Camposol, decided to make a quick visit to the seaside and eventually found Bolnuevo. The first thing we did was visit camping playa de mazarron which we spotted when entering the town. It was very busy, but we liked the fact it was on the seafront, and had a fantastic appearance.
Last month, we made our first visit to the site - using our ACSI card also a first, to test our caravan and motor-mover also for the first time. On arrival we were given a map to identify which pitches were available by the receptionist who spoke English. We chose a pitch which would have a sea view. Each pitch has elec, and water supplies plus disposal drain. Hedging to separate each pitch and for the summer temporary shade. The ground is fine gravel.
At all times there was plentiful hot water, for showers, dish washing and clothes washing. The washing machine operates on a token system which includes wash powder and soft rinse - 30 min cold wash. One toilet shower block has toilet/whb cubicles downstairs and whb's plus shower cubicles on the 1st floor. The newer block has separate whb's, toilets and showers all on the ground floor. Facilities are also provided for the disabled. A high standard of cleanliness is provided by the owners and campers also took a pride in how they left the facilities. The outdoor pool and bar area was also enjoyed by us.
Although the site shop was closed - except in High Season, we quickly found the local Spar (bazaar) within 200 yrds walking distance. We noticed the bus stop on the way to Spar, with notices giving timetables to various locations. Handy if you want to enjoy a day trip without driving. Having dined at Elliot's last September - delicious fish 'n' chips, we decided to return and booked (recommended) for fish 'n' chips on a Friday and Sunday lunch. The staff and service were again courteous and efficient.
On our outings we visited the Bolnuevo geology formations and walked across the isthmus to have a picnic on the rock formation. You never need to walk/cycle on the main road as there is a promenade with various cafes and restaurants.
We bought additional wifi for during our stay which was cheap and allows you to use one appliance (smartphone, tablet or laptop) at a time. You can buy postage stamps at reception and the post box is just at the entrance, has a daily collection Monday to Friday.
On our departure the bill was settled quickly and efficiently by staff.
We enjoyed our stay, and have booked again for two weeks in June.

We hadn't booked and planned to stay for a few nights, stayed for 23 and booked for 3 months next year.
Says it all really!
Big flat level site next to the beach, separated from a residential area by the quite main road into the village of Bolnuevo. The site has a lot of long stay units over winter, the majority of which are German, some have been going there for years.
We arrived early March and site only had 5 pitches left. As the days went past the site started to empty as the long stay campers started their journey home.
We managed to move onto a big fully serviced pitch for the same price as the smaller, clearly defined touring pitch we were on. All pitches have a framework over them to support the green netting which is used in the heat of the summer to provide shade, so care needed with satellite dishes or very tall units. There is a separate area for big RV size units, but our 9m unit fitted easily onto the standard ones.
There are 4 big toilet and shower blocks around the site, all well kept and considering the number of people on site spotlessly clean. Wash up facilities and washing machines also in the toilet blocks
A walk out of the site entrance into Bolnuevo and a selection of bars and restaurants and a small but very well stocked supermarket.
Walk or cycle along the beach promenade, (which you can access directly from the site) to the Oasis bar which has free WiFi, a beer and Tapas for just 2 Euro and outside seating overlooking the beach and sea.
A cycle ride away is the bigger town of Mazzaron with picturesque port and numerous bars and restaurants. A drive away is the lovely town of Cartagena. Car hire available from shop opposite site.
The site is run by friendly helpful staff with the reception staff speaking good English.
Free 30 mins of WiFi in the bar area.
We used our ACSI card so just 17E per night.
We thought it was a great.
