Lovely site in good location - would have stayed longer than our 2 nights if we'd found it earlier.

New toilet/shower/laundry/washing up facilities have been built since the previous review was written, and were easily the most inviting of any site we stayed on this holiday.

Site is pleasantly wooded and on lots of different levels, so you can only see the few pitches around your own, making it feel quite private, and smaller than it actually is. Pitches are a good size.

Happily no naff holiday-camp-type facilities, but I guess that may limit the appeal for some children.

Site is in a nice quiet residential area in easy walking distance of lovely beaches and an attractive little town centre with small shops & restaurants.

This is a Municipal Site owned by the town and conveniently located (7 to 8 mins) from the town centre and the main beach.

We parked up here for the week with a tent. We were Parents and 4 kids, 5 to 15. Reception was straight forward and English was spoken.

The site itself is located on slightly hill area within a semi mature pine forest. The pitch we got was a bit tight but it was ok. All pitches were shaded.

We had a tent - be warned, it was August the ground was like concrete. You need heavy pegs and a good hammer.

The site is very mature and there was a very low turn over on the pitches.

The showers and the toilets are unisex - it didn't bother us or the kids in the slightest. Both facilities are from the 70's but were always clean and there was never a queue.

EHU on the pitch was only 6 amps - so not enough to boil a kettle.

The site has a very easy going sense about it and I got used to nodding to the longer stay residents after a while. No brits (that I saw) just all French with a few Dutch and Germans.

The attraction of this site is of course the proximity of the beach and the town centre. We discovered a small playground when we were leaving but apart from this there absolutely no other recreational facilities (bar, restaurant, mini golf, etc. )

Everything you need (bakery to hairdresser to fishmonger) is within 5 to 6 mins walk from the site gate. There is a large supermarket at the edge of town.

There was no noise or security issues on site.

This is a quiet park up site for the town. The kids will not make friends here as it virtually empties out during the day. Do not bring your car into Le Tranche during August - parking is very difficult and scarce.

It is slightly expensive given that all you are getting is showers, toilets and a pitch. However other sites within the same radius of the beach are twice the price.

It's a pleasant site but you do need good weather. This is really not a stop over site when going South as it is a bit off the main Motorway.

We had a nice time at the beach each day - there is more of France to see yet!
