On the banks of the River Lot amongst walnut trees. Owned by Dutch couple Erik and Susan who speak several languages and superb english. The facilities are clean and well placed, there are light meals from the bar and excellent local wines. Bicycles and canoes are available for rent. There are a couple of really superb restaurants within a short drive that offer excellent local cuisine at reasonable prices.
In all a top class site that has many returning campers.

We have stayed here many times, it is an idyllic location at the river side. It is quiet and tranquil. There are pleasant walks and two excellent restaurants one in the village a 5 minute walk and another in Grezels. It is by far our favourite site in france and we know many.
The owners are very friendly and have a little bar and provide simple meals
I cannot comment on child friendliness as we are always there in term time.

This is a lovely small site in a pretty, peaceful area. As mentioned in the other reviews, the pitches are large and all have river frontage.
There is a platform anchored in the river for lots of jumping, diving and sunbathing fun. The river is deep but the current is gentle. It wouldn't suitable for non swimmers/very small children.
There are lots of lovely walks in the area and the owners are happy to lend maps and make recommendations.
The toilet and shower facilities are very clean, even in high season.
There is a freezer for ice packs.
The only small gripe was that the wi-fi (which is free and available on most pitches) is one of those sponsored ones which makes you watch adverts and tends to kick you off after a while. This was not a big problem.
You can canoe directly from the site. There are also a few bikes for hire. We didn't use the small restaurant apart from pizzas on our first night. They were tasty.
You can hire a wooden picnic table for your pitch for 15 euros a week.
The area was quiet, even in August. There are lots of pretty villages to visit and markets to trawl around.
We loved this site it was quiet and very restful. We will return.

Our rating shows we regard this campsite as simply second to none!
We love the area and have visited it nearly twenty times so we are addicted. That is to the cycling, the wine and the views! We mostly visit out of the main season.
The welcome is excellent and English very good.
The facilities are immaculate, just a small thing though, you use your own paper.
The whole site is very tidy, grass is very short keeping your caravan/motorhome/tent clean and feet drier in dew or rain.
The bar/restaurant is very discrete and need not put you off if it isn't your thing.
Dutch owners and lots of Dutch visitors who generally make good neighbours.
Wi-fi is freely available.
Children over, say 8, and who enjoy the water (swimming, kayaking canoeing, cycling) will love this site.
In Praysac the Carrefour has LPG which is becoming important for motorhomes with an onboard refillable tank.
All pitches have River frontage (apart from a small area only used when they are most busy) which means they tend to be long rather than wide, overall giving a good area -the pitches are clearly marked by small posts. Predominately pitches have partial shade.

A very peaceful and well run campsite of about 30 pitches. Most of the pitches and the little restaurant are on the riverside and have beautiful outlooks. Lots of birds to watch of an evening. The toilets and showers etc were kept spotlessly clean and although the campsite was almost full, no queuing was necessary. The pitches are large, flat and most have shade although you may need to move around the pitch to catch the shade.
The restaurant serves lovely food and between us we sampled the pizzas, steak and salmon - all very well cooked and reasonably priced. The bar/restaurant is set in a little bamboo grove with lots of shade and does look rather charming. The river is deep and there is access for swimming and canoeing with a floating island to swim out to. You have to climb down some steps or dive in for a swim - no river beach or sitting area. I really welcomed this swimming as it was very hot.
We did not visit the restaurant in the nearest village but did have coffees etc in Preyssac where the nearest supermarket was. Preyssac also has a lovely market on Friday mornings. The whole area seems very quiet and pretty but not a great deal of bustle anywhere we went except Preyssac on market day.
Overall, a lovely peaceful campsite perhaps more suited to adults or families who enjoy a very quiet time. The only exception to the quiet are the frogs - really quite noisy from about 9pm onwards - I really had no idea just how much noise frogs make! They did not keep me awake but did disturb the sleep of the rest of our party.

An excellent site of some thirty very generously sized pitches, the majority of which are situated directly on the banks of the River Lot, about 24 kms west of Cahors in the small village of Anglars/Juillac.
Most of the very large pitches allow direct launching of boats etc from your ‘front door’, and many of the campers had their own inflatables of various sizes and designs.
Two ‘Services’ blocks provide ample cover for the site and are kept scrupulously clean … the one at the campsite entrance is slightly more recent, but both are of the modern variety. (Bring your own paper)
The site is very relaxing, friendly and quiet despite a mix of families and couples.
Two, large, Safari Lodge tent styled ‘cabins’ are available for hire, and are extremely well ‘kitted out’.
There is on site catering … relatively simple, but decent quality which includes a good selection of pizzas. A bar and ice cream service is available all day.
The restaurant/bar is situated in a charming Bamboo grove, accessed through a bamboo ‘tunnel’ … and is also the base for swimming from the small pier and floating deck … it was the scene of continuous use for all ages and ruled out any necessity for a swimming pool.
The site also hires out canoes and kayaks as well as bicycles.
The Lot, at this point, is slow moving, and boating requires no ‘pick-up’ downstream as it is easy to paddle in both directions … it makes for a relaxing session, rather than an exciting one … no Ardeche Gorge type ride here.
There are plenty of flat cycle routes along the Lot … signed, but also several you can find off the beaten track.
The owners, a dutch couple, Erik and Susan are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English.
The site had more dutch campers than any other nationality … but there were a couple of Belgians, some French, and one other GB set up.
WIFI is available on site beside the reception area … a shaded table is provided.
There is also excellent fishing, both from your pitch by the river, or by boat. We witnessed several 'catches' of large fish.
There is a restaurant/bar in the village (about five minutes walk) … we didn’t try it, except for a drink … plain French country fare … and a posher hotel (about ten minutes walk) which does a very good menu and is well used. There are several eating places in Prayssac (also your best shopping centre with a couple of supermarkets and a pleasant central ‘square’ … it’s about five minutes by car),
Easy drives from the site include Cahors, Saint-Cirque-Lapopie and the Grotte du Pech-Merle, Puy L’Eveque, Albas and several other pretty villages in the vicinity. Luzech is a disappointment, though much touted in the region.
If you want to go further afield … within an hour and a half-ish range are Rocamadour, Figeac, Villefranche de Rouergue – Najac, Toulouse, Moissac and Canal de Deux Mers, and the Dordogne.
