Small tranquil site well run by a family English spoken Outdoor pool Bar and restaurant
We were the only Brits on site which is ok by us all others being Dutch who are friendly In addition to seasonal pitches there are wooden huts available for hire
Definitely need 10 amp electric, easy to trip 6 amp standard with fridge, water heater etc going
Booking fee at €10 a bit steep plus you have to pay for showers and electricity used!
The site asks for a bank transfer for the deposit which is very expensive to arrange but owners appreciate this for UK customers and will waive this
Payment by bank card not CC( common in Europe)
We enjoyed our stay but there may be cheaper options close by

KWe made a second visit to this excellent site.
Excellent facilities and lots to do around the site, including a cable car and toboggan run.
Huge selection of bars and restaurants in town.
Good place for a weekend.

This site is a good base for visiting Valkenburg.
There is plenty to see and do in the town - cable car, toboggan run, thermal spa and numerous bars and restaurants.
There's also interesting WW2 history in the town, such as the American cemetery.

We stayed at Vinkenhof as a base from which to visit the Dutch city of Maastricht, about half an hour's drive away and one of the most interesting cities to visit in The Netherlands.
Camping Vinkenhof is set in countryside a couple of miles from Valkenburg town which is easy to reach either on foot or by cycle; the town has a good selection of shops and many restaurants, and is overlooked by the ruins of an old castle.
The German border is within easy reach by car and the town of Aachen well worth a visit.
Facilities at Vinkenhof are good and well maintained. There is an open air swimming pool along with a bar/restaurant with limited opening out of peak season. Entertainment is provided on some evenings.
Pitch size was adequate rather than spacious, and manoeuvring might be a problem for a large outfit. It rained hard during part of our stay and the ground became slightly waterlogged.
