Have literally just arrived and my first impression is that it is in need of some TLC and looks a little run down. There is a new toilet/shower block but a little strange in that the toilets are in the open at the back. I have bought a token for the shower but yet to use it. For washing up you need to put in 20 cents for hot water. Like many Belgian sites take your own loo paper with you as this is not provided, I can't get my head round this one as in the whole scheme of things loo paper cannot be the biggest cost. On top of that I have had to pay a lot, 5 euros, for internet access which at many sites is free. The welcome was friendly. So far my impression is not brilliant and I am glad that I am only staying here for one night.

We stayed here for the F1 weekend 2013. We had a great time and decided to stay for another week to explore the local area eg Battle of the Bulge museum, Thermes baths in Spa and national park. The campsite is run by Jos and Karin Klomp and family, they are very helpful and speak good English and have a great sense of humour. We had booked parking tickets for the F1 but after practice day we decided to go for the 10 euro pp shuttle run by the campsite. Jos is actually the Belgian Stig and they have a fast route that avoids the queues - you may end up in the boot but its good fun! We are seasoned campers but normally camp in the mountains and this was our first trip using our recently purchased combi camp. We found the campsite well run with a relaxed atmosphere, there are a number of caravans used as weekend retreats. The bar is sound and they serve pub grub such as pizza etc. There is a new toilet and shower block which is kept clean. Its 1 euro per shower which lasts about 6 mins. As far as shopping and eating goes Malmedy is a nice town with coffee shops etc and there is a Carrefour just down the road on the way to Malmedy. Having done the ratings with regard to child friendliness there is a good pool and play area and there were a number of families with young children.
